Looking at getting two mp3 players...

There are loads of free apps, and many of those that aren't are often priced below £1.
The only consistently expensive apps are games by the likes of EA (if you consider £5 a lot of money for a video game).
£5s ok for games if they're any good. Why is it bloatware?
I clean a lot of PCs that are running slow, the first thing I do after checking for malware is look for programs such as itunes which drastically slow the computer down. I wouldn't want to infect my PC with it and I run linux most of the time. Itunes is not platform agnostic. I would have to boot up my windows install just to manage apps, movies and music.0 -
And you were the one comparing the £500 phone to the £150 phone (which are "literally a fraction of the price").
I reckon for certain tasks, either would be fine, but obviously it is down to the user, for example I couldn't get on with an iPhone because I have been used to Windows Mobile (and the use of a Stylus) for years and would find it hard to adjust (yes, I know you can get a stylus for an iPhone, but have you seen the size of the things?!).
Fair enough though, Windows Mobile would suck if the hardware was utter carp. (BTW I have an HTC P3600 sitting in front of me at the moment, running Touchflo 2d flawlessly which I picked up for £99 a year ago (as a 'back up' phone))The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

It's cringeworthy at the very least.0 -

Sure. I have an Xbox 360 that I love (which is obviously *gasp* made by Microsoft). I have a Flip Ultra HD camcorder, which is so much better than the camera on the iPod Nano (despite what Steve Jobs will tell you), it's not even funny. I have a Nikon DSLR that I use a lot, I have some really nice microphones, and I have a whole bunch of recording gear (which I guess only half counts as a lot of it only works with Macs).
We use Vonage for our home phone service (free worldwide calls for $24.99 a month), and I love our U-Verse TV (which runs *gasp again* on Windows CE).
I think that in the markets where Apple compete, they're a strong player with excellent products, but I like other companies too. I happily use my Xbox 360, and if Apple released their own console, of course I'd be really interested, but I wouldn't dump something made by Microsoft just to use something made by Apple unless I thought it was better.0
