Wireless printing, offline bookmarking, streaming media from your iPhone to your computer, editing Word and Excel documents, photo editing, Skype, Kindle, the Sims 3, Assassin's Creed, the Oregon Trail, and Pocket God all seem pretty good to me.

Did you have something specific in mind?

To be perfectly honest I've never used apps before and if thats what all the hypes about I'm not impressed, why would you want to sign into your xbox 360 account without playing? I dont do twitter/facebook. Skype is about the only thing worth having but if you paying that much for a contract I'd expect unlimited text and unlimited free minutes.

I think you might change your mind after using them for awhile. Having access to that many apps (they're projecting the App Store will have 300,000 by the end of next year) does rather spoil you.

You should really have a look at the available apps and see if anything takes your fancy. If you don't have iTunes, you can check them out here.

Thats the thing though I wont pay for any of the apps, so if I have to then I wont use them. Secondly I wont use itunes, its bloatware at its worse.

There are loads of free apps, and many of those that aren't are often priced below £1.

The only consistently expensive apps are games by the likes of EA (if you consider £5 a lot of money for a video game).
Secondly I wont use itunes, its bloatware at its worse.

    Why is it bloatware?

Which is available FREE for most Windows Mobile-based devices (most of which have similar features to the iPhone at literally a fraction of the price)

That's funny. Even Paul Thurrott thinks Windows Mobile is laughable compared to the iPhone.

Funny how you are comparing software to hardware. I think you mean the iPhone OS ;) Or maybe you mean one of the new Windows Phones?

I don't think there is any justification in comparing software only available to hardware costing £500 upwards, to that available on hardware costing from £150. Obviously there are going to be major differences and perhaps some limitations, but for what it is designed for, IMO Windows Mobile (especially 6.1 and 6.5) works extremely well.

Granted, you may have a point. But I think it's difficult to separate the hardware and the software when talking about the user experience on a mobile phone. If either sucks, the phone sucks.

And you were the one comparing the £500 phone to the £150 phone (which are "literally a fraction of the price"). ;)
