I don't have a sales leades I was signed up by ASM. To be honest I haven't needed her that much. Had issues regarding first delivery and another issue with non delivery but apart from that I have managed to cope on my own . Read the previous thread from start to finish and learnt more here than did from ASM . Once you get account no and get on computer you will find it not so daunting and if you get stuck with regards to returns or anything elses there will be someone on here who will reply very quickly. Prob quicker than contacting ASM or even sales leader.
I got all the incentive stuff last month.
I got rep bag from prev avon lady then last month got demonstrator bag with lots of perfume samples mirror ,make up bag also a big make up bag. Prev got an out of date filo fax but incentive stuff either arrived a month early or after I had done 6 month and hit £2500 sales. You are supposed to get it after month 2 ,4 and 6 if you hit targets in both months and submit order on time on line.
I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!

Hi all, I've been following the thread only posted once before. I've been doing avon for about four months and it's going ok considering I only do f+f, neighbours and work colleages, have about 40 customers although not all order every time as you will be aware. I work full time so I didn't think I would have time for the door to door part. I have decided to try and push parties this year. I have my first one the end of the month, foot spa party for one of my friends. I have designed a flyer with the party incentives on it and given it out with the orders this time so fingers crossed for some bookings.
I also signed up through a asm and as others I have had no contact from her since her visit so have had to figure it all out myself, I wish I had found this thread months ago cos I had the same questions as others have had.
Thinking about looking into SL is it worth it?
  • thanks for the info.. it was really helpful

You're doing really well. What I'd suggest is maybe give doing a small territory a go before become a SL - I'd say repping takes up less time than SL to be honest, especially once you've recanvassed a few times and know who wants a book. SL work can mean getting texts/emails when you least want them but having to sort stuff out anyway. A couple of pages ago a few people were asking about becoming a SL and there are some good replies - my reply is page 43 and it is pretty honest. As I always say, I enjoy being a SL, but it is a long term thing rather than short term, as there are a lot of costs involved with it, and can take a while before your earnings are more than your costs. Whereas repping is more guaranteed, in terms of your costs are much less.

Thanks lozza1985 I think I'll contact my asm about a territory, to be honest I don't have to do much work at all with my current clients as they are all people I know. Some of my neighbours even post their books back through and my husband gives to the guys at work for their wives. I usually get about £400 in orders a campaign. I think I'll see how the party goes as well because if that takes off I might just stick with that.
    cheers

No problem - another reason I suggest taking a territory on first, is because as a SL you are training & supporting new reps, who more than likely will have a territory as there main way of getting sales. So if you haven't had a territory yourself, you can't understand fully doing a territory and so can't advise others to the best of your ability.

And I need to sell £250 in all 6 campaigns to get the demostrator bag thingy?

Not in each one, but the total over 6 camps has to reach £1500. I think.
