Avon Hints and Tips (Part 3)

I have 55 c2 books (ordered 30 xtra by mistake and got 20 freebies too)... now on c4. I cant find the leaflet to go with them for recanvassing. I've looked under training/news on the website but cant find the anniversary bit where I think I read a day or so ago it would be.. Is it worth dropping old books?

Ahhh OK I'm getting confused though.
It's showing on my invoice thingy as:
Product number Quantity Product name Customer price each Price total Your cost You earn 88252 1 Double Award Sales shown as £8 Cust Price. Your price is based on £4. Free £0.00 £0.00 £0.00 19141 1 Ultra Colour Rich Mega Impact Lipstick Really Rosy £8.00 £8.00 £3.00 £5.00
So it just counts towards presidents club and I don't actually earn £5? Or are you mistaken? I'm confused!

I was thinking of quitting Avon tonight. I'm getting no new customers and for the first 4 campaigns I was doing the wrong territory because of a big mix up. I did my new territory and picked up the books tonight, 90% of them said they didnt want a book, and the rest didn't order, 1 said 'see you next time.' so I thought great, no orders AGAIN.

I got home and the one who'd wrote 'see you next time' had an order in for £53! She also popped a note in saying she gave it around to friends and hoped that was OK (of course! haha) and asked if her 3 friends got a free gift each (spend over £15 get a free gift is what I do)
I'm so pleased as I was literally coming home to quit when I saw this order.

Excellent GemmaC25, can i ask how many houses do you have on your territory and how many would normally order? Just I'm thinking about asking for one.

It seems I've been very unlucky. I've had a street with over 50 houses and had 1 order. This time it was around 30 houses and had just the 1 order. I really struggle with my area!

Hi Gemma

On this book, as the lipstick is on promo, we will only earn £1 from the lipstick sales, as the customer is only buying them for £4, but for PC Club, they will add £8 for each lipstick sold instead of £4, but you will still only earn £1.

However, in the next book, if a customer buys a lipstick at £8, your discount earnt will be higher.

Well I just dropped the rest of my books and took one round to my friend who lives in the next street from me. She said that in all the time she's lived here they've never had an Avon Rep which if she's right I'm quite pleased about!! Gonna see how this and the next couple of campaigns go and maybe ask for another road or two. Got a really good feeling about this, just hope I'm not going to be disappointed!

My territory is about 110 houses, although some houses are split into flats.

I have been doing my territory since March 09 and now have 18 customers through my territory, although not all order every time. It is a bit hit and miss. It really depends on where you live, my area is saturated with reps, and a lot of my customers were checking to see how often I came back for the book, if I came back at all.... lol.

So having territory is one of those things... sometimes you get a lot of customers and sometimes you get a few. However, with my customers, sometimes their daughters, friends, son's girlfriend, mom, etc order through my customer so definitely worth hanging onto those customers that only order in a blue moon.
