Yes it's £78 for the first level and £148 for the higher level. You still need to sell the states amout for the demonstration bag but that isn't great anyway so no big problem if you don't get it.

  • So on the sheet about the incentives I have to get £78 of sales to get the first incentive and £148 to get the second? The lady who came round (she's an ASM I think) just changed the amounts for the first one to £78 but didn't fill in anymore of the gaps on there. Can anyone shed any light on what I'm actually meant to acheive to get the incentives?
    Hi YM,

Don't worry too much about it; it will all become clear when you input your orders..... (assuming you're ordering online?) Input your orders then go to 'View Order' (last tab as opposed to 'Order' being the first tab). When you first start to input your orders it will show the full price of the items you're ordering and that you've earned no commission. Once you get to MOV/£78 worth of orders it will show the commission you've earned and when you order £148+ (HOV) then you'll see the prices to you reduce further/your commission is increased.

Good tip - if you get close to HOV with your orders but not quite, just order something for yourself to take you into HOV - will mean you earn extra commission and chances are that it will pay for the item(s) you ordered for yourself! ;)

So.. (sorry if I'm being really thick!) if I sell £78 in my first campaign I get the first incentive gift thingy, I then sell £78 in my second campaign I get the second incentive gift thingy - or do I need to sell £148 in my second campaign to get the second incentive? And I need to sell £250 in all 6 campaigns to get the demostrator bag thingy?

Sorry if I've got this completely wrong, trying to get it all sorted in my head so I have something to work towards!

Also, have read through the whole thread and seen the Presidents Club mentioned a few times. What do I have to do to qualify for this? Is this the thing where I need to get £6,500 of sales in my first 18 campaigns?

My ASM didn't really explain much, she asked if I'd heard of Avon and said my mum used to do it when we were little and she seemed to take that to mean that I knew all about the ins and outs of it!!

Once I have my account number I take it I can log in to the Avon website and that it explains all these things on there?? (Hope so anyway lol!)

I've put out my first lot of books today and had another friend ask for a book which I'm going to pop round to her tomorrow.

Have just come across an Avon rep in my town, who telephones her order through to her ASM and she has so many problems she's thinking of quitting..... Makes me wonder whether rep > ASM is a good route?

Notwithstanding that, YM, don't get bogged down by numbers. Just aim for £150 of sales in each campaign (that maximixes your commission and ensures you qualify for all the Avon rep freebies). Hope that simplifies things for you.....

As for PC, yes you have 18 campaigns from when you start to become an Associate member or - because you've started in January - then if you get £6,500 worth of sales in 2010 then you'll qualify for full PC membership.

Once you have your account no. then just register online on the Avon website and that will give you lots to look at. Can be a bit scarey at first (that's why it's a good idea to have a SL to be with you and talk you through it) but if you're fairly computer aware then it should all become clear.

Good luck again. (Wish you were in my area because I'm looking for newbies! :rotfl:)

Thanks, I was looking for a SL to sign up with but after trying to get in contact with a couple in my area with no response I gave up and went directly through the Avon website. Guess I was just a bit impatient and wanted to get started ASAP!! I'm hoping that once I get my account number and can get onto the website it'll all become clear!!

Also, one more question, does any stationary etc I order go towards my sales figures? I was put under the impression it did by my ASM but I'm now starting to worry that I've got the wrong end of the stick!!

Could be interesting to read of your experiences re. 'reporting' direct to your ASM..... Please post up any problems and/or your experiences i.e. possibly there may be benefits?

As far as I know, anything you order (stationery included) counts towards your sales figures. Watch out for 'rep offers' though - sometimes they're a rip off (mentioned this recently to my ASM) i.e. a product similar (but possibly older stock?) to what was on offer recently to our customers @ 99p was on offer online to reps only at £2.50 When I mentioned it to my ASM she 'diverted' my complaint and told me to email Avon..... Hmm... not exactly a helpful reply!

Yes, once you have your account no. just go to the website and register. Any queries, just ask on here - in my experience it's far quicker than to go via the official channels.

While I'm under an asm and complain about her sometimes, it isn't the be all and end all. Yes you'll have more support usually from a sl, but if you are motivates enough then you'll do fine either way. As you can see from my sig I'm doing ok under an asm! And yes stationary, books, ht products everythhing you order counts toward reaching mov/hov, but you won't get any discount off ht items or brochures.

Well it seems to have worked offering my customers the new lipstick at £3.20, obviously my customers like a bargain lol! So far have orders for 9, and still a few books to collect in, plus OH territory are on the "old" brochure, so they'll get the offer next time. Had an order for that and a couple of other bits from a lady who has only ever ordered twice in the year I've been delivering to her - so wondering if the offer got her to look a bit closer at the brochure this time!
