Hi Phia rant all you like cos I understand how you feel. I placed an additional order on camp 18 on the Saturday and it arrived 13 days later. I called on the Monday day 8 and someone was to call back . My hubby called the next day and it was on it's way down from Aberdeen 1hr away and was to with me that day or next. Well it didn't arrive on the wednesday either. called on the Thursday and they had no intention of delivering till the Friday.Arrived when I should have been collecting kids from school. I spoke to ASm and I was not happy no one could have cared less . I got big lecture about how busy etc they are and orders take 5-7 working days. Avon said it had been with the carrier since the Tursday after order placed. Thing was I had campaigned on new territory and had gotten 3 new customers as well as having done ladies xmas evening. They were very understanding and in fact 2 of them were ex reps who had given it cos they were fed up of late orders and stuff missing.
I have said that if it happens again then I am going to pack it in. If someone had said sorry it got left on the back of a van our fault but they didn't they just made it up as they went along. Stuff was damp and paper work wet so it had been lying about.
ASM I felt could have done more rather than take their side.
I would follow complaint up with Avon all very unproffesional for driver and company who are paid by Avon to provide a service.
Good luck some how I don't think you will get any where.I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0 -
I have always been lucky with my deliveries - they are always here by 9.30 on the day that they are supposed to be here for - but I never arrange to deliver orders the same day just in case something goes wrong. My orders arrive on a Friday, and I deliver them the following Wednesday. This also means that if any items are missing, or there are any problems with their orders, I can usually speak to Avon and get it sorted out, and I am able to tell the customer exactly what is going on. This also means that if I am busy when the delivery arrives (which I usually am as I have a toddler and a baby!) there is no rush to get the orders sorted out. The only problem with doing this is that I have to store all the orders for a few days.
It must be really annoying when things dont turn up when they are supposed to - you have my sympathies!0 -
Empathise with you Phia but take a deep breath and understand that the drivers are under pressure too. Everyone is under pressure at this time of year and whilst I realise it's cold comfort to you, if you can, draft a note out to your customers explaining that there has been a problem with the delivery of your order i.e. so they know it's not you that's let them down. I find, generally, that people are quite forgiving provided they're kept informed.... Bad news is better than no news at all. I hate it when people take the ostrich approach.
Is there nowhere you can have your order left if you're not in? Shed/garage/neighbours??
Guess I've been lucky so far (touch wood); my delivery usually arrives approx. 8.20 a.m. (the day before Avon tells me to expect it) so I have the whole day to collate it. I tend to put my order in a couple of days before it's due but whether my early order has any connection to the early delivery I've no idea. In my mind I reckon that the earlier I put my order in the more chance I have of the stuff being in stock but who knows.....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks everyone. yes i understand its bust etc but its hardly my first delivery so they know where i live. if they had tried again or actually listened to my instructions and honestly tried then i could let it go but it was the uncaring attitude towards it...from the manager as well. yes they had other deliveries to make and it was everyone in my area who missed out but if thats the case then send the person who knows his way around! lol or find out before leaving the depot. the most annoying thing is that its SO EASY to find my house but they wouldnt take my advice and kept spouting names i never heard of.
its just annoying. ive been messed around by my ex lately so this weekend i was supposed to get avon out of the way and have one day in the week (for the first time in months) to get the last xmas bits in and its blatantly going to be that day that they come lol sods law! so im probably stressing a bit more due to that. im a virgo...im a planner and im a mum who doesnt drive... i need to know what im doing in the week so i can time buses and get out etc
anyway yes ill have to get them to leave it somewhere if im not in...however...how do i let them know without putting a sign on my door saying 'leave it....x.x.x'....? not very secret if everyone knows lolcamp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

Phia, phone the courier company and tell them explicitly, if you are not in to leave at xxx0

Deffo not easy for you this time of year then either!! (And, considering the level of your sales then you must be v busy too)
Not 100% sure but when you put your order in isn't there the facility to 'add a temporary/2nd address?' Might be a good idea to put additional delivery details in there?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Rant Time!
I'm a bit annoyed about delivery as well. Over in france they do things a little differently in that you order on say a Tuesday and they say delivery will be with you by the following Tuesday. Well the two times I have had delivery before, one was on a Thursday afternoon and the other was on a Friday afternoon. So I stayed in this week on Thursday and Friday waiting for the delivery as I need some of the delivery for Monday and guess what no delivery!! I am just going to have to hope that it arrives Monday morning now! I know they have til Tuesday to deliver it but it is a day later each time!
I needed to go shopping on Thursday as well, but didn't because i was waiting in, so now I have to go shopping this morning with all three kids and it will be a nightmare!!

Sounds like your deliveries are being held up by the courier. Why don't you ring your local depot and ask them - obviously you can't phone them until tomorrow now, but call them and ask.0

While we're in rant mode - is anyone else waiting for 'out of stock - to follow' items.
I've been waiting for the snowball jewellery set since C17 and no-one knows whether or not it's due in. There are also a couple of items from C18. As my next delivery arrives on the 22nd, it doesn't exactly give people much time to buy replacement gifts if they don't arrive. I'm on the verge of cancelling them altogether so that at least my customers know where they are 'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum
