How have you boosted your sales from £0 to £400+ thats amazing?!:T
Kel
Thanks Kel.
Hard work and carrying an Avon book around and talking to anyone and everyone and asking if they see an Avon book and if not, would they like to?
I do have territory, but in one road, only 6 customers, the rest have all left a do not leave note, and after doing this road for nearly 8 months, had another house, say do not leave anymore books.
The problem with this road too, is 4 of the ladies that live there all work at my local sainsbury's. The cook in the kitchen does avon and they buy their products from her.
I have customers at the following places, my Dr's Surgery - the Receptionists, Ladbrokes, a Baby Group, one met randomly through a fundraiser she was doing at a local pub, I offered to donate some baskets filled with goodies for the fundraiser, friends have referred people to me, Boots the Chemist, my childminder and her sister, the local lollipop lady.
My area is saturated with reps too, so all the hairdressers, supermarkets, library, beauty shops, even Nandos (!)( I ask everywhere), have local reps, my local Fish and Chip shop.
So my advice, if you can fit a book in your handbag, carry one around with you, and ask anyone and everyone. Encourage your customers to refer friends by offering a free gift if they do and the friend places an order. It doesn't have to be expensive, just a £1 or less item from clearance. People like the word free.0 -
Thank you Koeksister - for a change I actually did quite well! My first statement was a huge £35.50 commission from my team... go team.. go team... go team.
I will have to think of something suitable for the one member who has been putting in really high sales.
And the figures in my signature - wish they were commission! No, this is my total sales each campaign. I would love it if these were my commission. Could afford a holiday eventually.
Sorry, aureol, didn't know so guessed that with all your knowledge they must be your commission figures.Whoops....
If it's any help, my SL rang me when I was her highest ordering rep (was slightly tainted by the comment that her usual highest ordering rep had been ill..... but never mind LOL), congratulated me, sent me a card, brolly and some Avon products. Haven't heard from her since so guess I must now be a fully fledged rep in my own right (any queries I've had since I either post on here or she tells me to ring Customer Services..... yeah, right!)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks for the info marsden cuckoo and aureol, when i am feeling brave i might pop into a few of the hairdressing salons at either side of my street and see if it would be possible to leave my campaign.
I have read that sales take a dip in the next few months is this true? If so what do you do to keep the customers interested?
Apologies for all the questions!

that's ok Marsden Cuckoo. Flattered that you thought they were my commission.
Yes, I like the idea of a card, and calling, not so sure about the brolly. But yes might send her some Avon products - I was thinking of a gift voucher.
Ooh that naughty, I never tell my reps to ring Customer Services. I always do things on their behalf if they contact me with queries or ask my own SL for help and then give them the answers.
You can't build a team and morale by telling them to do things for themselves. Why would we be called a Leader otherwise?
Can you tell I have worked in Business for a long time before I started doing Avon? Have a lot of management experience and business acumen.Probably why I sound so knowledgeable....:rotfl:0 -

Kel, don't apologise for the questions. That is the point of this thread - hints and tips for Avon.
One way to keep your customers interested is to offer something. People love the word free.
You can buy things really cheaply from the Clearance part of Hello Tomorrow magazine. That is a magazine exclusively for us Avon people. Although some choose to show it to their friends and family.
You could offer a "spend £20 and receive a free gift" promotion. And then just give something from the clearance part of Hello Tomorrow (HT).
On my book 2, I am offering a 10% discount no matter how much they spend. My sales leader tells me off for this, she says I am giving away my commission but I found doing this every now and again, not frequently, keeps those customers who might not have bought... interested. I was going to skip campaign 2, as 3 of my regulars had said see you in the New Year. But a couple of the ladies have asked me what my promotion means and have asked for book 2, also those who had the £5 off selected makeup in C2, definitely want a book to buy from.0 -
Oh, Elliebee has a lovely idea, for her Christmas book, she used to pop a little chocolate into the bag with a small sachet of hot chocolate, and say something to read while you take a break. It worked for her.
Some of the ladies have posted above doing something similar and it has worked for them. You could also do a prize draw - say spend £20 and you will be entered into a prize draw to win x prize. Or if you think people won't spend that much, lower it to £10. This might encourage someone who is only going to spend £5 to go that little further to try and win something.
I did a prize draw in the summer and offered a nice prize and the lady who won it, said she never won anything and since then has been putting in big orders. Not sure if this was because she wanted things for Christmas or she felt so pleased at winning, this was her way of rewarding me.0 -
It says "off selected make-up"
Does anyone know which make-up it can be redeemed against?0 -
There are about 6 items on which you can redeem the voucher, so we won't be making a fortune with all those spare vouchers
Hopefully, at least a couple of people will order those items - only 1 person got a voucher, so I have about 6 spare ones

so I have a quick question about the vouchers , I am pretty sure nobody is ging to order anything that is for sale with the vouchers ( my customers just don;t seem interested in make up) but last month someone ordered one of the items , could I reorder using the voucher and then return the item as the one order last month or would that be too wrong ?I am journeying to a debt-free life.
Our estimated debt-free date is January 2040. I'm on a mission to bring that date closer!

hello
i would like to also add that some people order a cheap something out of the campaign brochure...1 - 1.50 pound (this is what i do)...as it is less once you have your comission...plus it is something likely to be in the brochure again so if they like it they might order it again...so that offer could potentially work for you twice...as stuff in the HT clearance wont be featured!
...and bag it all up pretty as that takes away from the fact its only something small or cheap
