MC, I think you can ask SL team why your new Rep has been rejected, and they may tell you. It may have nothing to do with her experian report or any other credit report.

Maybe Avon will allow her to pay for the orders up front to prove she is reliable, to build a credit report with them.

Mc does her address show as having a black dot on sma? It could be that a previous debter has resulted in this and your rep would need to prove she is someone different. It's unusual for Avon to reject someone due to bad debts, my mil can't even get a sim only contracts due to a bad credit rating but Avon accepted her with no problem. It seems likely it's due to a previous debt with Avon whether from herself or her address. Mind you if she's showing on sma now they may have removed the black dot, don't suppose you looked befoRe her account was set up?

It she's still rejected by Avon you could suggest that you provide brochures to her in return for getting ordErs which you put through on your account (helps your sales figures) and she can buy the products from you at cost so she still makes money. Would mean she had topay upfront but if it's the only way for her to be an Avon rep of sorts she may go for it.

Just wondering, but between placing your order and delivery, what do you other reps do? just seems like dead time. x

I deliver the previous campaigns books to some of my territory. I keep my regular customers on the current campaign and my territory on previous campaign. Once my order date comes around, the books for that campaign are prepped and given to my territory, and if I have the next campaign books already, will give those to my regulars or prep ready for my order.

Some people just take a break for a week.

My regulars are split across my territory though? I don't really have friends and family. how do you work it if your customers are in your main street, but dotted about?

I don't have family close by and only one of my friend's buys from me and that is usually one in 3 campaigns.

My regulars - some are on my territory, some are a bit further ie bus ride or half hour walk away, in shops, so it takes a bit of work for me...lol.

I have 5 roads in my territory, although on my road, I only have 1 customer and she hasn't ordered for months. The lady opposite buys occasionally from me.

So what I do, make a list of my regular customers - give them the current brochure, ie C7 from Wednesday. Goto my first road, road A, drop C6 books, go back 3 days later, pick up any books that have been left out, go home, prep them, and drop them to road B, go back 3 days later, pick up any books that have been left out, prep them, go back and put out again on road B, this is my longest bit of territory, etc, meanwhile delivery comes and I can prep books and orders, deliver and give out new books if I haven't already. Give them a week to look at the book, although my customers text me if they have got their order ready and go and collect the books.

Meanwhile I keep dropping C6 books to my territory every 3 days until the next order is due. If I haven't completed all of it, I just start the houses that I didn't get to on the now back order campaign.

    Does this make sense?

We do nothing, no need to :j
  • Okay, I have over £300 worth of orders for my first campaign C6 which is due on Friday. I still have just shy of 100 houses on my territory which I haven't touched yet. So what I was planning on doing is giving my friends and family and all those of my territory who have had the C6 books the C7 books when they get here but give all the other 100 addresses the C6 book. So all my friends and family and first half of territory are on current campaign and second half of territory will be on previous campaign. Am I allowed to do that because I seem to have an idea that I can order from previous campaign with current campaign order if that makes sense?

Hi, thanks. I copied the email from Avon to my SL and she just accepted it. It's me that wants to ease her through if I can - especially after now having spoken to her. It was my newbie's suggestion that it was re. her Experian report being that she's aware of her ex having messed it up for her.

Thanks for the tip re. paying up front. Am waiting to hear from Avon SL team (assume they only work Mon - Fri) so that gives me something else to go on if they come back with a flat No.

Yes MC, they are office based, so only work Mon - Fri. I seem to remember reading earlier in this or previous thread, that someone was allowed to pay for the whole order up front and then Avon delivered it. It gave that person a chance to build their account with Avon, ie paying on time, etc.

    Good luck with this one.
