Thanks for that Lozza. I do have sales books left, and was debating whether or not to put them out.

I have got my own business cards, which I am handing out left, right and centre to anyone I talk to about Avon. Like you said, I may not get a call, this week next week or the week after, but who knows?

I asked in Iceland yesterday and the lovely day I see most days, said no one does Avon at Iceland, so she would ask her supervisor if she could leave my book in the staffroom, so I threw in a few business cards too, in case they say no, but people can take my business cards. fingers crossed.

A favour to ask, and very cheeky, but if anyone got the musical bath light gift from Avon and doesn't want it, could I ask to take it? Will pay P&p. I do have a reason for asking and it is not to sell on ebay! Believe me!

No problem A I use the sales books, mostly it's a case of quantity as supposed to quality with advetising like that.

Mc there's no chance Avon will help sl morE than they already do as they loose a percentage of sales with us reducing their earnings, whereas with asms they pay a set wage (with some bonuses) so they get asms to do as much work as they can.

Thanks, lozza, suppose that makes sense in a 'dog eat dog' type world. Know am too soft in that I mollycoddle people but would much prefer to bring someone on slowly and surely rather than drop them in the deep end and let them drown. (Have come across someone recently, who reports direct to her ASM and really would benefit from some one-to-one time to help her maximise the value of her orders. She's on the verge of resigning because of the problems with her orders so guess I have a biased viewpoint of that route. Her daughter's actually on my team so maybe she'll pass on a few tips! Can't help feel sorry for people, who are willing to do their best but with a little guidance could do so much better but seems with the direct ASM > rep route then there's not a lot of that offered, e.g. she didn't even know that she could order from her back campaign!! )

Definately use the sale books as well if you don't already - much lighter to carry too! For new reps, I give out sale books when they are for the current campaign, but not for the back order campaign if that makes sense (to avoid them ending up with items out of stock and disappointing customers straight away), which also means more brochures for prospecting.

What are sale books? (I am guessing they are books with sale items). Do you order them yourself? Or are they issued by HO when there is a sale on? Or something else?

    Hi Noglet

Sale books are books thin booklets labelled sale or clearance of the campaign they are promoting ie C6 has sale booklets too. They should automatically be delivered with your books when you order them, and Avon decide to do a sale or clearance booklet.

The booklets have items that Avon are "discontinuing" or items they wish to sell cheaper to clear out stock. In C6, they have the pink flip flops for £10 because they are bringing out the white ones in c7.

The sale books are mini brochures with disconinued items in, when you order books they are automatically sent out of if they are needed for that camp. I don't give them out to back order customers and nor do I give them out heading up to christmas in case stuff is out of stock. The rest of the year I give them out as everyone loves a sale and can really boost sales!

Thanks Aureol. I have my first order being delivered Tues (v excited) so hopefully I will get some then. Are sale books for sharing with customers, unlike the clearance section of HT?
