Thanks to SophiSoph and MarsdenCuckoo yesterday. I got my expired books out today, put my details on this brochure is expired and do you want to be a rep card, and stapled them to my books.
Went to a territory which was assigned to the rep who was moving and does not return my calls, emails or texts. Dropped a note through her door asking her to call me. I dropped all the expired books.
I had met a lady on the bus who needed directions somewhere, on the way back from dropping the books, we met her again. I asked her if she had found the place and she said yes, and then I asked her if she bought Avon or was a rep herself. She asked was I a rep and did I sell Avon and I said yes. She said she used to buy it and send it back home but stopped. Then we saw the bus and she wanted to catch it, so gave her my business card and asked her to call me so we could arrange for her to get a book. fingers crossed.
Took DS on the tube as he had helped me post the books and while we were at town, got a phone call from one of the houses I had dropped expired books at. The young lady wanted to buy some items but wanted to know if they were still in stock as it was an expired book. I told her I would come round and drop a new book with an order form. She said she was free, today, tomorrow.
Took DS home and left him with his Dad, went to her house, and her brother answered the door. He went away to call her and came back with "she is in the Bath". Now, sceptical me took this to mean that she no longer wanted to buy and this was a nice brush off, but I left the books and sent her a text message. I told her the extra book was for any friends that might be interested in looking, and if they placed an order, i would give her a free gift.
Fingers crossed, she is genuine and really was in the bath!
Well done, Aureol, you really are a 'trooper'. Hang in there and hope it works out for you - am deffo not religious but a firm believer of 'what comes around goes around' and 'we all get what's coming to us'. In your case sounds like you're due some good luck at some point (hopefully soon).
Some people do post Avon overseas (shhhh....) and it can work out to be quite profitable. Turns out our UK postage costs overseas are really quite good value. The knack is to keep parcels below 2Kg.
Good luck - sure she was in the bath (just convince yourself too!)
Oh, just a little pointer, if you have a 'corner shop' near you it might be worth asking if you can leave a few books there too? If needs be you can offer the proprietor 10% - could help the shopkeeper i.e. extra goods on offer without him having to finance, and if you offer to collect orders/deliver to the shop then he wins and hopefully you boost your orders? Worth a try.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Oh thanks MC, that's great. The first part of my postcode is DE22 - can anyone help? Also I was wondering (and this may be a silly question so forgive me if so) but are the amounts on peoples signatures the amount of sales in total for the relevant campaigns, or the commission you have made? I am assuming it's the total sales, but just wanted to check xxxx:think:0

Hi MissyTheCat, unfortunately the figures are sales. Would be nice if they were commission.
I'm looking for reps in HA and UB5 postcodes, if anyone reading these posts.
MC, the lady used to buy Avon goods herself and post them home to the Caribbean. Didn't get to find out why she stopped.
My friend was asking me about buying good quality makeup that lasts longer in the heat to send home to her sister in the Caribbean, but when I told her I would find out weight price, etc, she lost interest. Some of my friends are just so hard to please!
I like the idea of leaving books at the corner shops, but there has been a new rep in our area doing the exact same thing, and to be honest, her books weren't shifting and when I asked the store owners, if they charged her for leaving the books, they said no, but didn't look happy, and said "no, they are free, take one." It seemed they thought they were a nuisance?0 -

Just ordered from my first campaign and although i ordered a lot for myself i still did about £120 of customer orders. These were all from people i knew!
On Monday i started on my streets. I dropped off and said i would be back today, 1 answered the door and gave me a order, another said they lost the book and no-one else was in.
I dont have any calling cards to post through doors so i wondered if anyone had made themselves one that you could email me so i could use?
Thanks in advance x
you can make them yourself or if you want the professional look go to vistaprint . for the price of delivery you can get some great cards made up and a great choice . plus once your registered they send you offers for other things that might come in handy . i just ordered some calling cards and some loyalty cards . and the cost for 750 cards works out at just over 1p each .. bargain . ..0 -
If you go through Quidco, and it is your first time using Vistaprint, you can get £6.50 cashback for buying through Vistaprint if it tracks properly.
Not bad if you get free business cards, etc, you only have to pay for p&P, the £6.50 will mostly cover that so you will be paid by Vistaprint, to use them.0 -

Took me a week to get a book back from a house - she was always at work, out, etc, etc according to her OH. She came round to me on Weds night (only live round the corner) ........ with a £50 order! Perseverance paid off!0 -
thanks Clare, I will go to her house Monday if I don't hear from her.0

Keep it up aureol. See even when you dont get immediate results you still feel better for talking your butt off to everyone you know. At least youre doing SOMETHING instead of just focusing on the negative. I hope you get some call back xcamp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211
