I'm sure that lady genuinely was in the bath in which case she might buy some bubble bath!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi Guys, just an update really. after only managing to do half of one of my roads (out of 3 ive got) and only managing to drop 45 books, I got 6 orders, not great I suppose for a first one, but still never mind. 14 books missing:eek: just placed my first order online and I have earnt £17.94, not great, but again not bad I suppose. When I first did Avon 2 years ago, I didnt earn a penny on my first campaign, so I suppose its better than nowt! lol. I was told by my asm to order some brochures, so I ordered some C6 brochures. Is that right, have I done the right thing? I was supposed to be meeting my asm tommorow, but had to cancel due to taking my dad to his hospital appointment. So I am asking you great guys on here for some further help/advice. I am so worried bout doing something wrong! lol. thanks xLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0

Just had my ASM call me to ask what roads I do as apparently the old ASM hadn't sorted the territory out properly or something. Anyway, I told her the road that she gave me (as she signed me up) and she then told me that someone else does that road!!!! After the past couple of days I've had finding out that other people I know are doing Avon etc I'm starting to feel a bit p'eed off with it! I told her that no one had mentioned that they'd been receiving two books and that the customers I've got seemed like that hadn't seen a book in a while so she's told me to continue doing what I'm doing but it seems kind of pointless them issuing territory if they're issuing it to more than one person! Is this a normal thing to expect? Like I said, from my actual territory I've not encountered any problems and whenever I've walked down the road when I've not got books out I've never seen anyone else's books out so not entirely sure what's going on. Just hope that I don't get into any turf war or anything and hopefully when we move in the summer it'll be to somewhere where the ASM is a bit more organised!!! And just out of interest, I know that SL's can see the territory maps or whatever it is but is it just in your area that you can see or can you look up anywhere in the country?Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940

Good for you, samson! :T Sounds like you've worked out the mechanics of the whole thing and - for what it's worth - yes, I think you're deffo entitled to some biscuits too (maybe even chocolate ones?) :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Think I suggested it a while ago - but don't get my delivery until Monday so haven't actually tried it out yet! The card I've got is pretty porous so hoping it will last - I may well decant out some of the fragrance into a bowl and "dip" the bottom of the cards into it if spraying it doesn't last too long, can always pour the remainder back into the bottle. For the price of one bottle it won't cost too much, much cheaper than buying the amount of samples I'll need for all mine/oh & mil customers! And any thats left I can keep for myself
Got to say that I've never tried it but wasn't convinced it would work so have been sitting back to see the results. Seems to me that Avon fragrances are 'short-lived' so you could be wasting your money? I was told that Avon fragrances are cheaper so you have to expect to re-apply every few hours i.e. no way is it going to last 'for days' on card/paper or on anything.....
An EdP should last longer than an EdT but think it's a total waste of time doing the body mists...... Of course, I could be wrong....?
For the first time ever, I've take 'the advice' to buy a bottle and offer it to people to spray themselves. Got to admit they seem a bit taken aback but I say I'm trying to be a 'proper Avon lady'....I actually like the Spotlight and the lippy is great too so no great hardship. Time will tell when I collect my books whether I've got any orders for Spotlight or frightened everyone off!

Gloversgirl wrote: »Hello i am Debs and very new to Avon!
Just ordered from my first campaign and although i ordered a lot for myself i still did about £120 of customer orders. These were all from people i knew!
On Monday i started on my streets. I dropped off and said i would be back today, 1 answered the door and gave me a order, another said they lost the book and no-one else was in.
I dont have any calling cards to post through doors so i wondered if anyone had made themselves one that you could email me so i could use?
Thanks in advance x
Hi Gloversgirl,
If you look back there are lots of offers to help out re flyers, etc. (Elliebee has a particularly good stock.) I've also done some; if you PM me with your email address then will gladly send you some of my attempts.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Anyway I've contacted Avon today via there website to apply to be a rep, and I just wondered if anyone could tell me how long it will take for them to get back to me - I can't wait to get started! xxxxx
Welcome MTC. If you post up the first bit of your postcode then maybe some of the Sales Leaders on here may be able to help? No guarantees, of course, but sometimes it does take Avon a while to pass on the enquiries.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi JC, depends what your current campaign is. Some people order books two campaigns ahead and others just order the next one. If you order two books ahead then it means that you can have your next books prepped and ready when your Avon goodies arrive. Just makes the process easier.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I bought the spotlight too because I like it but have to say I'm not brave enough to offer to spray it!! I'm just going to liberally apply it to myself before i deliver my orders tomorrow and hope that someone says oh that's a nice perfume where's it from?!!MarsdenCuckoo wrote: »Got to say that I've never tried it but wasn't convinced it would work so have been sitting back to see the results. Go for itm YM. Not difficult, just offer the bottle and let people spray themselves wherever they like. I do like Spotlight (first Avon fragrance I've actually liked - apart from the Aromadisiac for Men - hate the Women version) but the problem is that the EdTs are so light they just don't last. As my SL told me, you get what you pay for..... what do you expect for the price?! :cool:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
