Thanks sophisoph, the encouragement from you and MC helped me. Am going to do a few more book drops today in another area but now running out of expired books...lol. DH will be happy, less Avon books in house! Hoping that people might have a look over weekend and give me a call.

And just out of interest, I know that SL's can see the territory maps or whatever it is but is it just in your area that you can see or can you look up anywhere in the country?

No we can only see what is allocated to reps in our teams, asms have overall contol still. Trouble is some asms have been doing their own thing and allocating territory by memory not doing it properly which with the new system in place where sl can allocate territory to new reps it's causing problems. I'd carry on doing the roads you've got this other rep obviously doesn't bother with her territory anymore.
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Oh thanks MC, that's great. The first part of my postcode is DE22 - can anyone help? Also I was wondering (and this may be a silly question so forgive me if so) but are the amounts on peoples signatures the amount of sales in total for the relevant campaigns, or the commission you have made? I am assuming it's the total sales, but just wanted to check xxxx:think:

You're very welcome MTC. Unfortunately am looking for new reps in/around EX20 so can't help you on that one. Maybe someone could post up on Flissys for you? Am new on there but sure some of our SLs on here will know more - you can buy/sell leads but all sounds v technical to me!

Yes, think the figures are sales, not commissions. I wasn't sure either so I never posted mine up.

Thanks Aureol, I thought they were the total sales, otherwise I'd have my work cut out if that was the commission you were all earning lol! If anyone is looking for new reps in the DE22 area let me know, I'm still waiting to hear from Avon as have applied via their website (however it has only been a day so methinks I may be being too eager!) xxx:D

Good for you, aureol. The old saying that things always look brighter in the morning does have a lot of truth in it. Amazing how beneficial a good night's sleep is. Good luck again with everything!

I've got a query now pls....

Am just about to put in my first order as SL/Associate PC member - do I need to order extra books for some reason? (My own SL has given me extra books for the next campaign for the newbies I've already signed up.) And.... when I added in just my normal 6 packs for my own use it's currently showing as a £nil charge. Is that right/wrong? Do I get free books for a while when switching to SL/APC?

Whole new learning curve again! :rotfl:

  • Hey guys, how would you go about leafetling a block of flats. My territory is littered with them. Would you just blutak an A4 sheet to the front door?

I'm doing a little test on a block next to mine. They only have 6 flats in each little section so I dropped books on the front door step as it is covered, but some of the other blocks are really massive.

Also what do you say just text or email if you would like a brochure?

    Thanks for your help

The flats near me usually have their post boxes outside so i would drop them in there. If not there should be a button that gets you into the flats so you can knock and ask...failing that just buzz everyone and ask if theyre interested lol. And yes i would put my details on there and ask them to contct you if interested x

MY TURN....lol Im planning on going prospecting at the weekend while the OH and kiddies are here...fresh air for them, prospects for me:D
Anyway, how do you choose where to go? I mean whats the point of going somewhere, signing them up and then finding there is no territory available?

I thought about doing the 'look up a postcode' but then obviously you need to know A postcode for that area and it doesnt show you everything. Any ideas? x

I wish we got free books! No, they will charge you in 2 campaign's time for those books. They assume some of the books you have ordered are for new sign up.s

    snipped

I do look up postcodes but not to see if available territory, because as we know not all ASM's allocate on SMA. I look to see how many reps in the area, as if there are too many like mine, chances are not much territory.

If only one or very few reps over a widespread area, you have more chance of getting reps and getting them territory.

As MC said earlier or was it Lozza, don't promise your sign ups territory. Ask them about friends/family/work/gym etc they can sell too first and then suggest if there is available territory, it will be allocated to them. If they are relying on territory, best to advise there may not be territory local to them and are they prepared to travel a short distance?
