All avoned out today! was meant to collect brochures yesterday but for first time in 16 months of being a rep i was ill and couldnt get out! Felt awful and as worried all day bout people thinking i was a let down... text those customers who i could but most i didnt have phone numbers for ... luckily it seems my regulars seem to have got the idea i call back next day for missed brochures and had put their books out today instead. Also had 2 new customers from recanvassing ring me yesterday hoping they hadnt missed me too so that was good and got to collect them today and they were 2 big orders of £20+ so very happy!:j
Spent about 4 hours collecting brochures though and another 4 hours entering the orders tonight. Up for my "proper job" in the morning but my head is racing with avon stuff and ideas so hope i can switch off and sleep and not dream about avon like i did last night..... how sad am i?lol:rotfl::rotfl:
Up to £571 in orders now for c5 with some more to collect friday.. then gotta canvas loads of new territory over the weekend before my order goes in thurs.. should be fun! (hate canvassing new areas get so nervous) :undecided_pale_0 -
The purse is only cheap nylon and plastic (but what would you expect for that price
) but is well thought out, with 2 zip pockets and a wallet section in the middle. The popper is very hard to undo, and I think it may well pull out of the fabric after a while, but if so, it will go back
All in all, seems good value.....not used it yet, so the jury is out on practicallity.
It's not now! Used it for the first time last night and wasn't impressed. Not only was it difficult to zip/unzip because it's so floppy, but the lining jammed in the zip at first use. Needless to say, it's going back'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Got my delivery this morning including another Jacquard Antler bag. This one i ordered myself so dont have to keep sending cutomers one back... First one had strap missing, so did second, so has third... The customer has the bag so I can keep returning the third one I ordered and have done first one as a return and claimed credit (third one ordered for me to keep returning was £2.50 cheaper, yeh). Credit doesnt appear on this invoice though??
Missing... also, planet spa mesh bag but its for a customer who is still waiting for two nail expert gold strengths from back page of C3 book. Said they will follow on in the C3 invoice but not metioned on c4 invoice anywhere. Will they still arrive or shouls I chase it up?
Not checked rest of order yet, could see mesh bag missing and no Antler strap. Fingers crossed for rest!
I ordered each size of the paper bags, got large, medium, and two small (i think) which looked like sanitary bags (to me anyway!!!)
Do I love being an Avon rep? Yes! Cant wait to peek at the C6 book :-)0 -
Hi,
I have signed up as a rep on onto my second campaign and was keen to sign up as a sales leader at the start but my SA told me to do a couple of campaigns to see what I think. Anyway I think I would still like to be a SA and wondered what happens when you sign up as a SA? Do we get training manuals etc?
ThanksAvon sales - C4 £1080 -
Not sure if anyone can help me?
I am thinking of doing a facebook page for my Avon.
Any tips?
Where can I get branded pictures?
What cant I do?
Is there anyway that we have a personal Avon page that I can link people to?
Please help

I am just starting out on my 1st campaign as a rep but doing it with being an SL in mind. Thinking about what would have been useful to have been told at the initial meeting before signing up, eg how to fill in the calling book, good places to get bags, etc So will be interested in the replies you get to your query.
In the meantime I am considering various options for advertising for reps and trying to weigh up the costs v. benefits. So my questions for experienced SLs:
- What are the costs of signing up new reps? I know you provide the brochures (you are only committed to providing their first 2 lots of 20 but you might choose to provide more if you wish). Are there any other costs involved?
- In your experience what proportion of reps sign up but then never really get going and are effectively money down the toilet.
- Also what would you say the average sales order value for new reps is over the 1st 6 or so campaigns - I appreciate this depends on time of year, whether they are F&F or territory, etc but a realistic figure to try and project how long before I start to see a return on my investment would be really useful.
Really appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.C5 £202; C6£541 :j; C7 £502; C8 £379; C9 £379

Think your SL is right; you can hardly help your team members until you know how to resolve any problems you come across yourself. Am just about to go down the SL route so can't offer any advice yet (because I don't know!) I got the same advice as you though and am glad I didn't rush into being a SL. Am on my 10th campaign now so hopefully I'll cope.

Again, I can't help too much (should know more tomorrow!) but a fee of £25 was mentioned to me re. becoming a SL, which - I think - is to cover your stationery pack, etc. re. signing on new reps. Think you pay for your new reps' 'free books' but then get credited back later.
Nooo idea re. failure rate of new reps recruited but I would guess that a lot will depend on how they're recruited in the first place. My SL keeps referring to standing outside shopping centres, job centres, benefits offices evenand stopping people as they go past to sign them up. Can imagine anyone recruited that way may lead to a higher failure rate (but could be wrong, of course). Am hoping that my team members will all succeed being that two have been good customers of mine and given me orders from their friends too (downside to that is that I lose some of my own customers
) but at least I know they're interested in Avon themselves so that's a good start. (Also if they decide not to continue then I'll probably get them back as customers.)
As for order values, again have no idea but my guess is that MOV/HOV have been set at those levels for a good reason by Avon so maybe you could work on half hitting HOV and half MOV?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
