Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hi, I went to collect my some of my books and some people had 2, they said another girl had posted today, I was hoping not to have this problem but it does look quite common from reading the posts here,

I managed to get 2 orders from 25 houses which was a little bit frustrating as it was freezing but nobody said this was going to be easy lol

I have posted the last of my books for C4 and have given some out at work so fingers crossed. :D

problem with this reply is, if my customer's like the makeup the model is wearing, I could reply "it is the model's own, or the makeup artist's own" or like I did last time, quickly look through the book and say it is that one!

:rotfl: Well let's face it, if you can't find out then they're not going to prove you wrong are they. I resort to all sorts of 'kidology' when necessary :D

All Newbies - my hints & tips, & sales promo ideas, are on p4 of this thread if that's any help.

  • bf; don't wish to dishearten you but there's lots of advice here on all three threads..... if you can't be bothered to read back why should everyone else repost? Avon entails a lot of hard work before you'll see any great benefits and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

As for 'making a loss', it will all depend on what you order for yourself but there again I guess you'll still be getting product at discounted prices so.... in short 'No, very unlikely you'll make a loss'

    Good luck.

Sorry, I have read back a few pages, I am not asking people to re-post, just asking if there is anything I should look out for thats all! Being a newbie, am I not entitled to ask these sort of questions? I thought these posts were for people asking questions ect? Sorry if I have posted in the wrong section!!!

Thanks Elliebee - just re-read them, and had forgotten how may of those ideas I have used!! I knew I'd got the sticker idea from somewhere!

    Hi Bex

Yes. I've just returned the Gyroscopic strength ball.
    xx

A friend of my daughter's is selling these in pairs!!! When they order one she says they'll be lopsided so people are ordering in two's.... Still haven't figured out how to work one yet so no chance of doing two. Was going to send mine back but doing a party next month and could be a bit of an ice breaker. (Did think of giving it away to the first person, who can show me how to do it - either that or I have a lot of practicing to do before then! :rotfl:)

  • Hi All

Not been on for a while. Little one is waking 3 times during the night for feeds and I had forgotten how tiring that is :o Also my 2 year old has taken to waking during the nigth too but at different times to the baby arrrgghh.

Anyway just a quick question has anyone ordered the 'business essential' set from HT 6 and recieved them yet? Are they good quality/worth it?

    Thanks

I ordered the expanding file (needed one anyway); seems OK and guess looks more professional - not that I expect to be taking it out of the house much other than, maybe, for the party I'm doing next month. Also got the post-it notes (could be useful) and the pens, which got to say I do like. They're really easy to write with unlike some biro's which seem to make writing hard work (unless it's me getting weak in my old age). Calculator looks good value but got two so didn't need one and bought myself a separate purse to keep my Avon float in just before Christmas so didn't need that either. Good idea I reckon though.

Am thinking that the pens could be a good idea to give at the party am going to do shortly i.e. just give one to everyone who buys anything and then do a bigger gift for larger purchases.... Problem is I could be left with LOADS of pens on my hands! Or maybe I'll do a flyer to all my customers i.e. order £x and get a free Avon pen, or more likely I'll use them as my gifts to customers with larger orders... Sorry, brainstorming again whilst typing - looks like am going to be ordering quite a few pens! :rotfl:

Gotta share, coz I'm just a tiny bit excited (....yes, I know my life is sad, LOL!)....

Just placed my very first order as an Avon Rep!! Woo-hoo!!

Even sadder, I'm looking forward to Friday when my order should arrive and I can unpack it all and sort it into 'orders'.

Thanks to everyone on here for all the advice, tips and answers to my (many) questions.

My road allocation problem seems to be sorted now, so onwards and upwards!!

    Bex

No, you're not 'sad' - I was excited too :j (even got my OH to take a photo of me standing next to the pile of boxes I received re. my first delivery - suppose that could be considered 'sad'!;))

My first order took me ages to sort. I now get my books for the next campaign prepped with (addressed) order forms and already bagged with any flyers/notes and their current order form before my delivery arrives. After I've checked my delivery against the Avon invoice (VERY important) then I place all my books etc. on the floor and sort who wants what. Sometimes product descriptions are similar so until you're confident, allocate all your products to all your orders before bagging anything up. In my first few orders I did get a few products mixed up so bagging everything at the end will save you oodles of time just in case you do the same.

    Good luck.

No, you haven't posted in the wrong section - obviously! We've all be newbies at one time or another so fully understand your desire to want to know more. It was just your comment about 'not being able (to scroll back)' through the thread that seemed to me to be saying you 'couldn't be bothered so can you tell me...' i.e. so it was easier for you. I was simply making the point that it takes longer to type advice than it does to read it.

Didn't mean to offend you but just wanted to make sure you knew that Avon takes a lot of time and effort generally so anyone interested in doing it is better to be prepared.

    Good luck again.

:j Good to know I'm not the only one who gets excited, hee, hee!

Thanks for tips - I will definitely do what you said before the delivery arrives on Friday. I better get my A into G and start canvassing with C5 tomorrow as I noticed I have to have my C5 order in on 1st March - only 20 days time - eek!
