Had my first delivery whoopwhooop! only 2 things not available so will credit them. Was suspicious about a customer (this is my first camp) who ordered £48 and somehow i thought - dodgy. Sure enough, put card thru door re delivery and she has rung to say she'll have a cheque. I said cash so she said end of next week. I'm sure she wont pay somehow so at what stage do i send everything back? they wont send next order til ive paid for this one so i will be £48 out of pocket til they recredit me. i have orders so far for £50 next camp but they wont send that until ive paid for first one? That means i get credit for £48 for camp after? what if i give up and get no more oreders? I'm worried!! Did i get all that right?
    Thanx peeps x:confused:

You can put the order through as returns n they will credit ur account so u dont av 2 pay the money urself! u av plenty of time 2 send the stuff bk b4 u get recharged so just hold onto the order to see if she cums up with the money! if she does then just wait til u get recharged n pay her money off n if she doesnt then just return her order 2 avon!

Just finished my second campaign (18) and it was £446! which im well pleased about! The only thing I wasn't so chuffed about was getting a message from my asm to pay £220 before my order can be processed! :( Does this always happen? Im confused?! And it doesn't help when its so close to xmas and I just dont have that much cash available!
    x

U normally only get a set credit limit for ur 1st order then it disappears afta that! U have the option to only put half of ur order through this time n then bk order nxt campaign but u will av 2 let ur customers no that they will av a longer wait 4 their goods!

thats about it except the credit you get back is 'your cost' not the 'customer cost' i think so its not the full amount :(

yeah u do get credited 'your cost' but u wud only av bn charged 'your cost' by avon anyway! if the customer dusnt cough up then the only thing u lose out on is the commission!

Thanks for all the replies, ive just heard from my ASM that avon will not deliver my order at all now untill the balance is paid in full? Is this right, is this what normally happens? Ive already paid off the balance from campaign 17, and the delivery im waiting for is campaign 18, my balance online is coming up as £0.00. Im confused?!? Im hoping I dont have to pay it all in full before I recieve it because its £446!!!!! and I definately cannot afford that just before xmas!!!
    Please help :(

yeah that is right but not sure y they r doin it on ur 2nd order tho! avon wont release the order until u make up the difference between ur order total n ur credit limit! u cant expect ur customers 2 pay u b4 they receive the goods n u cant b expected 2 pay it so i suggest that u ask them 2 cancel half of your order, you tell the relevant customers that there has bn a delay wif ur order n then bk order the products in ur next campaign!

Hi, I'm thinking of becoming an Avon Rep as I need to bring in some extra income but I need to be flexible around my children (19 months and newborn) - going back to work would be pretty much pointless as I'd probably end up paying more in nursery fees than I earn!
Is there a way of finding out how many other Avon Reps there are in my area? I tried Usborne Books after having my first child and soon after found that my local area is absolutely saturated with Usborne Reps so it was very very difficult to achieve anything with it apart from a load of stock that I can't get rid of.
Also, what is a realistic income that I could expect from doing this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

you can contact avon n find out who the Area Sales Manager is for ur area n they shud b able 2 let u no how many reps r in ur area!

you can earn up 2 25% of ur total orders so if ur order was £400 then u wud earn £100 n the campaigns r every 3 wks not monthly! basically it depends how much effort u put into it to how much u can make! u can also become a sales leader n recruit reps, show them how 2 do wot ur doin n u earn a percentage of their orders 2!

well if anyone remembers me saying about the customer having the wrong shade foundation...made her look like a ghost in photos etc... emailed avon. they said they would sort it and add it to my order...THEY SENT THE SAME ONE BACK!!!! lol so now i have to do another replacement!

also its still coming up saying i need to send back something that i sent a good few campaigns ago. what do i do? email them again?

if u have still got ur copy of the returns form that the carrier should have signed then just fax it to avon as proof of return

I give up with territory. I have streets with 50-60 houses and get 1 order, but most often I get no orders. One of my streets someone else is already doing it... and I finally went to my final street I was given, and I was hopeful as it was a more newer estate.
I went to collect my books and a few people answered and said 'Oh you're not Claire are you? I order from her. Here's yours...'
So I started doing a couple of streets I wasn't given seeing as mine had been stolen but still no orders. Seems strange reading everyone else's posts when they have streets and get at least xx number of doors ordering and I'm lucky to have 1. Can't see me continuing Avon for much longer really.

if the customers haven't specifically said that they no longer want an avon book then u just keep giving them 1 every campaign whether they order or not! they cud b checking u out 1st before they order 2 make sure that u r reliable plus not every customer orders everytime! just hang in there!

as for territory, have a word with ur ASM n find out if she has already allocated ur territory 2 sum1 else! if not then make sure that she is aware that sum1 else is doin it as they r not supposed 2!

I think a start up kit would be good if it was optional. Ive got a rep that really wants to do parties but cause she has only just signed up wont have time to order anything before xmas :(
    x

yes exactly. I have done a good few campaigns and bought a few little bits each time but nowhere near enough or a wide enough range to show the basics let alone anything else. so i decided to keep buying bits but then thought by the time i feel ready enough it will probably all be old stock that they dont do anymore lol. i know i could order loads and credit it after but that would mean doing it every campaign and not knowing where the next party was coming from it would be better to have your own i think.

lets see what i get for xmas and maybe buy a bundle. my aim is to do a party just before mothers day. gives me time to get sorted

how do you request an immediate replacement online? also where do you put additional delivery instructions etc when pplacing your order?

If you go to your account, and go into your details then you can either add a safe location (eg shed) or change your delivery address to a different one - either as a one off or permanently (like my mil has).

for requesting an immediate replacement, when you do your returns (under replacements) follow the steps through, right at the very end there are 2 choices at the bootom right side - replacement, and immediate replacement.

rep[lacements come in your next delivery, immediate ones come in the post.hth
