There is a section on the website to fill in and submit, and then they pass your details on to the local rep. This is the link:-
https://www.avon.uk.com/PRSuite/needARep.page;jsessionid=0001Jgvuw7z0WXvWuxL1WveTmvz:14c4npckc
Or maybe one of the Sales Leaders on here might be able to help...if they can, they will reply - they are a friendly lot on here!
Good luck with that link!!
I was in the same situation when we moved house, so I contacted Avon and they sent me a brochure and instructions for ordering on line - so I assumed there wasn't a rep in my area (and became a rep myself!).
I have since found out that there MUST be a rep in my area as all my local roads are taken!!!
Also I've been given an ASM in Kent as my manager - very odd, I'm surprised there are no sales leaders nearer to me (Nottingham).
All in all, I'm thinking "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing" ...0 -
There actually aren't that many ASM's in the country. It is quite a hard job with a lot of targets, etc, hence the sell, sell, sell mentality.
My ASM actually lives nowhere near me and does not do the call ins either.0 -

If you apply on the official website, then yes you'll get an asm come and see you - they can live miles away from the area they actually cover - asms might occaisionally pass details onto local SL but it rarely happens - avon don't want to help sl any more than they have to as it costs them more money lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Thanks aureol - yes I realised that there aren't that many ASM's (I know someone who did it for years but was glad to finally get out!) but could a request to avon for a rep in your area also be forwarded to a local SL?
Sorry I'm just a bit narked because my ASM sent my first 2 lots of brochures via parcelforce and the delivery man took them to a local post office (local to my home). With working full time 8 miles from home it's been a real race against time to get to the post office to pick them up before it closes!!! Would have really liked to have a local SL (Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire) instead. I'd have driven to them to pick them up if necessary!!0 -
My ASM only sees reps in my area if she can see 3 or 4 on the same day. She actually passed on 4 leads to me but I had to turn down the last one as had no books left or sign up packs.0

Clare, think Lozza has answered why it doesn't happen, lol.0

In theory yes - as SL are also reps (we have to sell so much in order to earn from our teams sales). I am actually from Derbyshire myself lol - but unfortunately once you have signed up with someone you are "stuck with them" so to speak, unless you leave for 8 campaigns and then rejoin. But - we are a helpful bunch on here, so any questions you get then fire awayAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Not too sure of my facts here but don't ASM's also gain financially from their sign ups, like SL's? If they have so many in their team, they get a percentage back in commission? Don't quote me, as I am not 100 per cent sure of my facts. Just thought I read it somewhere.0

Yeah they don't earn from reps the same as we do - I think they have various targets, such as to recruit x amount per campaign, and to get sales of such amount......so frankly there isn't the incentive for them to help their reps/sl other than to get reps to place a first order, once that is done most asms couldn't care less - I know some people have lovely asms - but mine isn't lol!!! She's been no help whatsoever, had to fight tooth and nail for everything and generally make a pain in the a*se of myself to get a reply from her about even little things!
So yes - in my opinion better to sign up with a SL, or at least a good SL lol, I wish I'd have known about the set up of avon before I joined, as there is a really good SL near me who I could have joined with had I know.....o well!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

See! I THOUGHT it was crackers that I'd ended up with an upline in Kent! There WAS someone more local!!! She obviously just got the lead and decided to keep it for herself. Ah well.
Might have some more questions soon .... one of my friends has ordered mineral foundation x 3 and the shade is too dark. So have to send them back to Avon for an exchange. I get my order delivered to work and never see the delivery driver as all deliveries go to head office and then to the separate buildings.
Any ideas??0
