Is the avon website down?

Probably coming up to some campaign order deadline?

I try to put my order in early - first time I left it until the 'last minute'' it was sooooo frustrating! Could be wrong but also get the impression that the earlier you order then the more chance you have of being able to get the Clearance Items? You still do the legwork but leave it too late and you lose commission :mad::mad:

PS: Don't know if we all get the same online offers but (sorry, if we do then it was on offer @ £1 this Monday, 25 Jan) wonder if the Colourtrend Berry Nice Eyeliner may fit the bill? Was liquid rather than a pencil but deffo bright (sold quite a few)

I received an email from Avon yesterday mid-morning entitled "Winter Sale - more great deals" in which there were details of £1 deals for yesterday, Phillippa bag set today on offer, etc. etc. (it does say at the bottom only for Reps).

My question is ... is there a special section of the site where these are placed for easy ordering? I couldn't find it, so I ended up copying and pasting the product description into the search box and adding them to my order that way.

Thanks, Bex x

I also order the mini bags because sometimes (if you're lucky! ;)) customers will order smaller item(s) of greater value, which can tend to get lost amongst the rest of the shower gels etc. In such cases the mini bags (I think) 'add value' or make the expensive item(s) look more important. Also use the mini bags sometimes instead of gift wrapping a 'Thank you for introducing a new customer' or 'Congratulations, you placed the highest order in my current campaign' type of messages.

Thanks for the great advice! :T I will order some minis too! This thread is so great for picking up tips - just sorry I can't contribute any yet being a total newbie!!

I know this isn't the place for this but we are fundraising for a special little girl and would appreciate any help. Even just joining the group.

Have a new plan lol, want to promote perfumes this year as would get customers to spend that bit more.....

Hi Lozza

Yes I have ordered samples of Spotlight to put out with the book in which it is launched - just going to give the samples to my order-ers.

Spraying the card with a demo bottle is a brilliant idea - let us know how you get on - I looked into buying some of those perfume sample strips which you get in shops, but not much luck really finding any. What card did you use?

I have recently offered 2 free perfume samples with every order over £10, got a few takers so hopefully might get some orders from that.

Cheers,

Slightly left-field question....

Can anyone tell me the sizes of the Avon paper bags (the ones used to deliver to customers) please? I'm trying to work out what sizes to order for my very first order (I only have 13 orders so far!!).
Hi Bex - I think I ordered small, medium & large, and so far I have used all 3. The small will fit 2 or 3 bits of make up in it and you've still got room to fold down the top. The medium will probably hold 2-3 shower gels or body lotions and a few bits of make up. The large is good for your bigger orders. Although I had someone recently who ordered over £30 worth of stuff and I needed two large bags, one medium, and took it all in an avon delivery box because there was so much stuff!! (took the box away again so she didn't have to put it in her bin - how good am I?!!)
• Hello All,

I've have just become a Rep and started on C4. Managed to get £156.16 in orders, have been given territory but only managed to get 1 order the rest are from friends and family. Please can you give me some tips on how I can ensure F+F order next time, and what I can do to persuade territory to order, ie what sort of offers. Really want to get HOV to get my Smart Start rewards.

Thanks for any advice

Hiya sunny. we are at a similar stage. i've just started. I'm upto £120 in orders, i want 148 for my hov target.

I'm not much help, BUT have you got a printer at home?
Write a short note to put in with each book, introduce yourself, say what pages are worth looking at (like buying 20.00 of anew bagging you a 32.00 gift, and mothers day is on the way, or point them towards the cheaper items and point out their is no order too small).
Put it in Word and use a table to repeat a few times per page, and get your scissors. :)

I've also been on vistaprint (careful with thier checkout pages! people on here generally love/hate vista) but for a fiver i've got a self inking rubber stamp thingy. Will save time on order forms and brouchures. Simply says my name, mobile number, then email. I've set up an email account just for avon customers, so i wont miss potential orders. Might i suggest your first name, area then avon @hotmail or something... so an example: SueLeedsAvon@hotmail ?

Can anyone tell me stationary prices? the only things i see prices for is the brouchures themselves.
What do i really need, bare minimum please? Do you have to use avon bags? surely you can hand single items over unbagged at the doorstep?
Thanks in advance. :) Loving this thread
