Id give it a go for a bit longer - ignore the 14 day cooling off period, if you dont submit your order then you dont owe anything, which gives you a little longer to try and get some more orders. Id contact your asm, and tell them that x amount of people say they already order from someone, and say you are disheartened and would like some more territory to make this worth your while. Im sure youll get some extra territory if you do that xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

In your position I think I'd try to speak to your ASM tomorrow to ask for further territory and meanwhile just ask around to see if you can't get some ideas from your friends and neighbours i.e. quite often you'll come across someone who can lead you in the direction of a street that's not being covered or been canvassed for a while.
Am just in the process of inputting my C4 order and seems that MOV is reduced in this one so you're not far off. Wouldn't disappoint the customers you've already got - from little acorns and all that.
Some of us offer gifts and/or a discount off next order for anyone introducing a new customer - takes a while but word will spread. Of course, there are no guarantees and you won't earn a great deal for a while (if ever!) - up to you whether the effort you need to put in is worth the benefits you can get by doing Avon.
Good luck whatever you decide.
MOV isnt reduced for everyone still - mine is back to the normal £78.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

How's that work then? Got to admit that I was surprised when discount kicked in early. Isn't everyone about to put in orders for their second quicky/2 week campaign?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I am putting my orders in on Wed for C4. I did notice that I am going to make a little bit of money but didn't think i had enough orders for MoV, but am probably going to get hit for books I ordered 2 campaigns ago and that is why I have hit MoV.0

) - always seems to need an extra pair of hands. By the time I've told them that their new book is in the order and when I'll collect it, reminding them that it's in a waterproof resealable bag so OK to pop on their doorstep and the next delivery date of anything they order I think they've had enough of me! :rotfl: Irrespective of my clumsiness, I have ordered some sample vials of Spotlight (am told it's nice - is it? Anyone tried it?) and IF I like it then I may give Avon's suggestion a bit of a try.
Am deffo noooo sales(wo)man; my best line is 'try it and if you don't like it then you can send it back for a full refund' - works sometimes..... but generally am 'too soft' i.e. last campaign someone asked if it were possible to get a sample of a certain fragrance. It wasn't listed so I ordered the offer (£10 for 1/£12 for 2) thinking that a) if she didn't like it I'd send them both back, b) if she wanted one bottle then I'd charge her £10, or c) she could have them both for £12. Failed miserably - she took one bottle for £6!!! Luckily I quite like it so looks like I have my first demo bottle.... :rotfl: Shame it's not one that's well known.
:rotfl: Oh dear - that sounds so much like me, and your customers must be clones of mineI have also had lots of perfume samples returned (even when, the Xmas before last, I put them in a Christmas card). A couple even returned the card
I don't find that the expensive perfumes sell at all, but the cheaper ones (Far Away etc) are not too bad. I did try taking a sample bottle round with me, but like you I find I have my work cut out just delivering the goods and giving change. In addition, no one I'd sprayed with the perfume actually bought it! Frankly, I'm not sure that my customers want to be bothered with all that - the only time I see them is when I deliver the orders, and then it's just a quick transaction on the doorstep. I've got to know some of them via Facebook, so occasionally do a bit of subtle selling on there, but if I try to do the 'hard sell' any other way, it all goes horribly wrongSome people can do it and get away with it, but not you and me MC
I just nod and smile when my ASM goes on about 'link selling' etc at the monthly meetings, then do it my own way!'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Glad to see am not on my own, Elliebee. Guess we're only successful because we're so 'charming' (in our clumsiness)!
Have had quite a few customers tell me that they only order from me because I'm married to my OH (he's a local 'boy' whereas I'm an incomer) but they are warming to me slowly.....
Could be wrong but I do find that the more campaigns I do the more my relationships/friendships grow with my customers and we become like 'family'. Certainly nearly everyone on my given territory mentioned to me when they'd had another rep drop a book and got to say I was really chuffed at the way they 'protected' me.
No idea what link selling is but did wonder about having a punt with forward buying some Spotlight. (No-one has answered my earlier query - is it nice?) Am I correct in thinking that the brochure offer will include the Pro-to-Go Lippy? If so, think that's the one I use all the time so might be worth buying just for the lippy..... :jMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I'm back onto 3 week campaigns again now I'm on C4 which is why my mov is back to £78. I had a 2 week campaign before Christmas, then back to 3 weeks over christmas/new year, then 2 week campaigns again, and now finally back to 3 week campaigns! The whole country was split slightly, as of course the holidays would make things even more difficult.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Yes the spotlight perfume is launched in an offer with a free lipstick, and apparently it smells lovely so a PC member has told me (they were able to order in advance at the end of last year).
Bit pricey for my customers lol! Got loads of mens fragrances too, so shall start to get rid of them soon as fathers day will be here before you know it!!!!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Anyone.....
My Mums text asking if avon do a sensitive mascara.....I never use mascara myself so can only go from what it says in the brochures, which doesn't indicate if one is better for sensitive skin/eyes than another........does anyone have sensitive skin/eyes who can recommend a particular one for my Mum please? Thanks if you can, if you have any suggestions could you email me please, at LaurasTeam@myavon.co.uk

Oh, I'm so disheartened...:( I didn't hear from my ASM over the weekend, so I thought "what the hell" and decided to canvass another road (which is a road with tiny 'retired' bungalows). When I was dropping the brochures, a very nice lady opened her door and told me she didn't want one as she already orders from a Rep, and "don't bother giving one to number x as she also uses the same Rep as me". This rang a few alarm bells, as this is the 2nd road I've canvassed and the 2nd time I've been told that...
So I heard back from my ASM this morning, and she told me that all the extra roads I suggested that I canvass are already allocated. [I gave her a list of every road surrounding me and the wider area, totalling an additional 350 houses!!]
It seems to me that the whole of my suburb is covered apart from the odd street I've been given. Hmmmmmmmm.... And some of both streets I've canvassed so far are telling me they already have a Rep .... more hmmmmmm.....
Okay, so I know I'm new, but it really does seem that someone probably had my allocated roads in the past, realised that they weren't going to give much business, but kept the few regular customers?
It just seems too weird that my one road (which has 3 roads coming off it) is the only local road that isn't canvassed???
Another thing that is really surprising is that my ASM sent me a report with some other 'free' roads which included Potential Customers and expected earnings. The Potential Customers total about 35% of each road and the earnings totalled £2.80 per customer!!! I was told when I signed onto Avon that an average customer order is £15. I'm confused, upset and disheartened....
I really can't afford to buy brochures for them to go missing. The roads I've been allocated are not within walking distance to me, and are certainly not on a 'round' (i.e. I can't walk around them one after another). It really does seem like I've been given the 'leftovers' - roads that nobody wants anymore.... And the 'new' roads my ASM have suggested are not local, are small (some only have 7 houses) and are really spread apart. I really can't afford to drive to a road, give out brochures, go back several times to collect them, deliver orders, all for an average 'profit' of 56p per customer (and that's if I reach the MOV each campaign). I will in fact be way out of pocket if I factor in my time and petrol costs.
I don't know what to do??
Please help!
