If she only covers half her tErritory with 4 then next time she can give those houses 5 and the ones she didn't get to can have 4 as a back order. You'll be giving her the next campaigns brochures next time you see her,5, and when she submits het order shell be ordering brochure 6. Think about when you started, how you wer given bochures. Not everyone gets told about 'split campaigning' but work it out for themselves. Others, you can explain till your blue in the face but they don't understand using both the current and previous brochures can save them money, everyone is different you have to play it by ear.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

so when it comes to ordering her books.... shes on current camp 4, shes got camp 4 book...so whenever she places an order she will be ordering the current campaign books but wont be able to cover any territory until she gets her delivery as obviously she must have covered all of it with JUST book 4?? so wont she be spending more every campaign as she has to buy a whole 40 books rather than the next 20 like we usually would?
Hi
I normally give my new reps 40 brochures for their 1st campaign if they want territory (since 20 brochures don't go very far if you have 100 houses + work colleagues ...) OR 20 if they are selling to Family & Friends. I also give them ONE previous campaign brochure so that they can look at the previous campaigns specials, since you can back order from the previous campaign. (I prefer to give my new reps only the CURRENT brochures since they can re-use them for the next campaign if they wish if they have not covered all their territory or if they wanted to give them out to additional friends or family, whereby if I gave them 20 previous campaign and 20 current, they will only have 20 that they can re-use.)
I then give them their 2nd lots of free brochures when I see them on our second appointment when I go through showing them how to place their first order etc...
You always order your brochures 2 campaigns ahead. (It will be highlighted in red on the system when you place your order which campaigns brochures you need to order.)
If you don't order the highlighted campaigns brochure, AVON will send you 1 anyway and charge you 55p.
(For example my girls that I signed up in Campaign 4, I gave C4 brochures, when I see them before they place their C4 order I will give them their free C5 brochures. They just need to order their C6 brochures when they place their C4 order)
Hope this makes sense and that I have not waffled on too much.

Hi Lozza1985
sorry, your reply was not showing when I typed mine.
It always takes me ages to type, it is a standard joke between me and my 13 year old since I don't know when to stop.
Thanks for all you help on this thread. It is really appreciated.

I contacted my ASM for some territory, she gave me 3 streets. I have canvassed my first one due to collect books. One of my friends and customers lives on one of the streets and only 2 days ago was delivered a book. I have just went to deliver my third street and their are books already left out. What can I do? I have emailed my ASM but what will she be able to do? I know the first name of the other rep and I'm aware that she has at least 2 other streets near me. I'm concern that it will put people of if I deliver a book then she comes along and delivers another or vise versa? Any advice, thanks in advance
Hi Loopy,
Seems to me that you have two options:
1. Report it back to your ASM and wait for a reply......
2. Ring the rep already dropping books and explain that you are a new rep and have been allocated those streets as your given territory. Could be wrong but if she already has customers in 'your' streets then she could claim them as Friends and Family but generally you and she will come to some understanding as to which houses she already services and, of course, she's not supposed to cold canvass any more on your streets.
Having said that there have been a few postings recently on this thread about ASM duplicating 'given territory' (actually happened to me recently) so it may be that your ASM has given you territory already allocated to another rep. Tread carefully - you never know who's actually 'in the wrong'
Let us know how it goes...
Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

No problem glad me and koeksister could help. Please don't take offence, but I assume that you are fairly new to being a rep with being unsure about splitting territory?I started last January and asked no end of questions lol so it's nice to be able to help all the new people like was done for me when I startedAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Thanks MarsdenCuckoo I think I'll have to go through my asm as I only have a first name for the other rep no contact info. I don't really care which streets I end up with as long as I'm not wasting my time because someone else is already doing it or might start duplicating my area and put my potential customers of.
Thanks again
I'll just sit and wait for a reply from asm, wonder how long this will take0 -

Hi
I know the Area Managers had a National Business meeting in Coventry on Friday and that mine also don't work weekends. Fingers crossed she'll give you a call as soon as she gets back. If you don't hear from her just keep trying.
As far as the territory is concerned, the Area Manager is the best person to speak to in the first instance (in my opinion) if you don't have a Sales Leader that signed you up. A while back I had the same problem with one of my girls. She was allocated some roads, put her brochures through and somebody elses brochures was lying outside!!! Since I am her sales leader she called me straightaway with the details of the rep. I phoned the rep and it turns out she did that territory before, she decided due to circumstances to no longer do the territory but that she had about 6 customers in my reps allocated roads that she still gives a brochure to. (Since they now became friends and will stay loyal to the her anyway). My rep is now still giving those roads a brochure, but just not the customers that orders from the previous rep, therefore she is not wasting her time or her brochures. (I also mentioned to her if she wanted she could request more territory)
I contacted the Area Manager as well to inform her of the situation, since as far as I am concerned it is there job to sort out these problems, since they are employed by AVON and they do need to be informed of what is going on.
Now that Sales Leaders can allocate territory for new reps, I print out the Territory report that details the new reps territory. That is my proof that the system allocated those roads to my reps.

Hopefully you have a good ASM who will get this sorted for you. It is annoying though as if the other rep is doing those streets when she isn't, she'll probably take the customers with her anyway, potentially leaving you with nothing. But it's best to speak to your ASM about this0 -
I don't have a SL, i was emailed the territory report and have printed it out. Is it possible that both of us have been allocated the same streets?0
