I'm taking my books to all the toddler groups we go to and a couple of my friends have a book at the moment so fingers crossed!!
When you ask them, definately word it vaguely - would you like to take a book to show your mum/sister/work colleagues etc, that way they know they can accept a book without feeling too obliged to order....then they'll have a flick through and probably order! I don't know how your toddler groups work - but could be worth mentioning that you'll donate say 10% off all sales from the toddler groups to day trips/treats etc....then the mums will probably spend more, and be more likely to show your brochures round, so although you'll loose 10%, overall you'll have earned more.
I'd ask for some more territory too, everyone is usually given the minimum, and then can be given more at a later date (providing there is some free in your area of course) - newbies aren't usually given too many houses in case they are overwhelmed/give up at the first hurdle and more people are messed about.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Order here, everything as it should be (two items to follow on but dearer in next brochure so sure customers wont mind).
Has anyone the wording for the cards to put in recanvassing with out-of-date books? Thought I could add details of mega im lippy and reversalist deals too....
I'm really enjoying the challenge of being a rep and wondering... with the ads on TV for becoming a rep... would this be a good time to sign up as a sales leader? I was signed up by my ASM who I had one email from after my first Camp and not heard from since! I started on C18.
Thanks as always to anyone who replies, fab forum x0 -
how many of you have customers who pi$$ you about when you're due to deliver order? they text you 3 times to re-arrange delivery or just DON'T have the money or after texting you a few times say that they don't want the order.a new one on me tonight was a customer who told me she didn't want the cream-powder foundation that she'd ordered.she didn't text/ring me to tell me beforehand but waited till i went.the stories i could tell and i'm convinced there's summat in the air round here
LOL - Oh how I identify with you on this. I have a customer this time who has ordered £75 of stuff while it was cheap. The problem is that I don't have a phone number for her, only her Dad's address (he's usually in, which she isn't, and I've delivered there many times in the past). I've asked several times for her to ring me, but no joy, and I hate to keep bothering her Dad as he's a lovely old chap and gets really embarrassed. In the end, I've put the items down as returns but won't actually send them back till the time after next. Although she messes me about, I'm reluctant to lose her as she orders well 4 or 5 times a year and her family order too.
B***** customers - who needs them

Hi Dingdong
Call or email your ASM and tell them you want to become a trainee SL. I bet she is round like a shot to see you. Mine recently sent an email to all her team saying she had space for a trainee SL.
It is hard work and not always easy at time, but once your team is up and running, you will get extra income which is nice. And I like being able to help my team and building their confidence, etc.0 -
Don't take returns off these figures as not interested in them being mega accurate, but also my signature is mine & oh sales combined, as I like to keep a tally on here of total sales for us to see how we are doing from campaign to campaign.
Fair enough, I was just curious, sorry if it came across badly.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
yummymummy85 wrote: »Also, I got my account number today so have been having a nose on the website. I saw mentioned somewhere that the MOV is lowered until C5 to £52. Is this right coz my ASM said it was £78 so I'm a bit confused now!!
Some areas/mailplans are C01-03, some are C02-04. You're certainly towards the end of the lower MOV though.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

thanks, think I'll just stick to the £78 and if it does turn out to be £52 then bonus!!
Just waiting for a delivery of a brand spanking new double buggy (hopefull I'll be able to push this one!), hopefully it won't be much longer then we can go and drop some more books after naptime! If not it's gonna be a lot of walking tomorrow as toddler group is about a mile away then I'll have to drop the books after, oh well just think how quick I'll lose the baby weight (if I stop eating all the Christmas chocolate as well lol!)
I had a look on google maps (probably should have done before I started dropping books lol!) and have realised that the road I have been given is actually about twice the length I thought it was so will hold off asking for more territory for a couple of campaigns and see how it goes with what I've been given!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -
thanks for the messages of support re customers.i'm so not movitated right now with all the crap i get and i made it to PC the other week-god knows how i'll get to the next level if i continue like this.was gonna be tagged as trainee SL on Wednesday but it turns out even though i've been doing this since last Feb i had to be registered with the site ( had to click on the red box under login).what the hell and why???? all i had to bloody do was put my name, addy and acct details in.so now it's gonna be next week when i'm tagged cos i'm away to Hull tomorrow so can't do it then.
bloody annoyed with stock availability.in C 2 i ordered 2x anew treats and after waiting and emailing the sods i rang them.was told that i'd get them with C3 order-NOT.i emailed them as i wanted to know what was going on and i ordered another set in C3.the response i got was what i already knew-they'll send them when they get stock in.now i don't know what the problem is cos there is no shortage of the gold bags and in this campaign 4 that i'm on now they're being given away with so much spend on Anew-but in red bags.i'd better finish this now because i'm so :mad:0 -
echo - deep breaths, huge hugs. Sit down for 5, have a coffee, look out of the window, look at something nice, put on a favourite film or comedy or read a book. Something to distract you for a little while to give you a chance to calm down.0

Thinking about becoming a rep, have three kids at school. Looking for a job fits around the kids... already work part-time, would it be too much for Avon as well??
