Well I collected in my first lot of books today and got a grand total of two orders!! Got the other side of the road to do tomorrow (depending on when my new buggy turns up!) and we're going to a new toddler group on Friday which I'm taking some books to so fingers crossed for some more orders!! I know that a few people may be checking me out to see if I come back when I say I will etc. but really did think I'd have a few more orders!
what happens if I don't get the MOV?
Also, I got my account number today so have been having a nose on the website. I saw mentioned somewhere that the MOV is lowered until C5 to £52. Is this right coz my ASM said it was £78 so I'm a bit confused now!!
Also, what are the rules with gettin more territory? As a stay a home mum I do have quite a lot of time on my hands that could be used delivering books (plus I've found that all that walking in the fresh air does wonders for calming my kids down!!)Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -
how many of you have customers who pi$$ you about when you're due to deliver order? they text you 3 times to re-arrange delivery or just DON'T have the money or after texting you a few times say that they don't want the order.a new one on me tonight was a customer who told me she didn't want the cream-powder foundation that she'd ordered.she didn't text/ring me to tell me beforehand but waited till i went.the stories i could tell and i'm convinced there's summat in the air round here
I had one of these last year.
She arranged delivery 3 times, changed her mind as "I have to go out" then on the third visit her sister answered and said "oh she had to pop out. I said "she arranged for me to come, did she leave the money?" the sister said no and behind her I could see someone hiding so I said very loudly that I don't have time to keep coming back and if she wanted it to tell her to collect. I was so mad. I never dropped her a book again, customers like that I can do without. :mad:Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
Empathise with you Echo; also have a customer, who can be difficult..... Having said that, she's given me leads to new customers (encouraged by a free gift for each one) so I take the rough with the smooth. We have had a 'heart to heart' now so I know there's absolutely no point in delivering anything on a day other than a Friday (assume that's when she gets her benefit). Good idea to see if you can't just get a handle on their situation and encourage them to be honest/give you a clue i.e. to save you wasted journeys.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon

Me again. I only seem to reply on here when I have something to moan about, LOL!
Just a quick one. Its my birthday this month, but this has been largely ignored by Avon, except for a "Happy Birthday" note on my last invoice.
On the invoice!
That's like saying "Happy Birthday Clare, blah blah blah, now pay your bills!".
My next delivery for this month is due tomorrow, so I am still living in hope that someone might have taken pity on me and put a little pressie in my delivery. Nothing on my online invoice though. Sob!
(Got some skincare samples but think that's more to do with putting through my first 4 camps over MOV?)
My birthday was the 10th but no pressie in the order I got yesterday. I did get a card from avon saying happy birthday from avon though. I am so underwhelmedLife is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
i'm glad to hear it's not just me getting grief from customers.the thing is it's not just the odd one now and then.last time i had 2 let me down for goods worth £93.50 and one of these women ( the one who text me 3 times but then didn't want the stuff) even had the cheek to give me a £20 order-she had vouchers to use and that's the only reason why she had a book.i told her i could only order the items with the vouchers and she wasn't very happy but went on to say ( via text) that she would order the stuff over the fone from Avon.next thing i get a text saying that she'd had a call from an avon manager who wanted to know what items i was ordering for her with the vouchers! i text her on Sunday to tell her i'd be round tonite with her stuff and i got a text back THIS AFTERNOON saying i'd have to take it after tomorrow cos her dad had died and she was at her mam's.i'm 99% certain her items won't get delivered.
got too many stories to tell....... need to find new customers to replace the 4 i've lost since just before xmas-3 of which were big spenders and ordered every time0 -
Echo, huge hugs. I really don't know what to say. Wish these customers realised that Avon is a business to us, it is our income, not just a hobby.0

Sounds like you have a really difficult one there, echo; sympathies! My 'difficult ones' are p u s s ycats compared to yours.
Am not usually online at this time of day but am sat here like a lemon, waiting for my Avon order to arrive (normally arrives 8 a.m.'ish so I've been up since 7 a.m. - for once I thought I'd be ready rather than the norm i.e. still being in bed when my delivery arrives  ) but pontificating over my current Avon 'probs'; one customer's order (which they insisted on paying for in advance) is out of stock (so got that to apologise for and repay - one disappointed customer); Avon have recharged me eroneously for goods they say I haven't sent back (but I have) - more hassle to sort 'thanks' Avon; but worst of all is that I have some 'remote' customers so I post their orders - unfortunately two parcels have gone awol/never arrived  so not only do I have the hassle of trying to claim some compo but need to figure out how/if I can replace those items (were all really good prices on C2 so not much hope of price matching). Hey, ho - Avon at the mo :wall::wall::wall: is making Betterware look 'a breeze'.....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I'd say mov was £78, it has been reduced over the short campaigns but most areas.are back to normal now, maybe check with your asm to be sure. Yes you're bound to have people who want to order but won't this time as they have been messed about previously and want to be sure you're staying. I wouldn't worry about not reaching mov, you'll probably find friends and family will order to help, and the cost of any brochures and demo products you order count towards mov too.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

thanks Lozza, unfortunately I'm not going to be able to ask my family as they live over 200 miles away (hubby is in the army so we move around a lot!). I'm taking my books to all the toddler groups we go to and a couple of my friends have a book at the moment so fingers crossed!!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940
