And in response to some of the post claiming OP's husband is selfish...i think if someone occasionally wants to do something that they feel very important and are a good and giving member of the family at all other times then sometimes it is the families responsibility to help that person fulfil their needs. It's about support for every member of the family and i think Deebee clearly understands this hence why she doesn't feel bitter in anyway about helping him out

Hubbie sounds like he is trying his best to make sure the family aren't at too much of a loss at his expense. Shows a grateful person there! Best wishes to you and your family Deebee...it's nice to know you have found a good person and in turn they believe you are a good person too. Me too, i have found a lovely man, sometimes he doesn't entirely agree with my choices but he takes the time to understand and support my decisions!
