BT Connection Charges (merged threads)

I seem to be in a situation like a few others. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I'm currently on Virgin Media Phone & TV (I don't have Broadband but I want to change to sky t.v, phone and broadband, I have a BT line in my house but it is not connected, I asked BT to connect it and they quoted me £125 sometime ago when I first muted the idea.
Don't fancy paying that. Seen the special £29.99 fee for reconnection - is this still available? If so do I then pay the £10.50 p/m for the 18 month contract? Seen someone say there's an additional £3 odd for weekends?
Also heard that SKY offer to reimburse the full BT connection fee if you go to them?
Anyone shed any light on the truth?

We have some great deals for cable customers. You can choose to take our £29.99 connection charge offer (£95 off our usual price of £124.99)1, if a connection charge applies on your new line.
The offer in the terms says eligable customers and to be eligable you need to be cable.0 -

Are you posting on behalf of BT? If so, you are misleading us. If you read the thread you will see that many have used this offer, and have not had cable. There is no mention of first having to be a cable user in the ts + cs.
But the offer ts + cs does define eligible customers:This special offer is only available to residential customers on:
Unlimited Weekend Plan, Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan, Unlimited Anytime Plan BT Working Together (for residential lines) BT Working Together Talk (for residential lines) or BT Pay&Call0 -
Hi,
i did ask this elsewhere but thought i would ask it here too.
if i want to install a new line for my business, i assume that i cant get the £30 offer as it says it is only for residential customers, so what would be the best (cheapest) way of doing it?
if somebody else other than BT puts it in, would i still need to pay BT to connect it?
Thanks0 -
No. You pay whoever you instruct.0

Hi
I am also considering moving from Virgin phone and broadband which before any calls costs me £38 a month.
Can someone please clarify the details of the BT offer of £30 connection offer.
Many Thanks

If there is a landline in the house that I live (a saw bills coming, it's a shared house) and a want a new line would a have to pay the connection fee? 124.99 seems huge for me!0
