in my experience the refund is made by payment method, ie back to the credit/debit card
a shop issued credit note wouldnt be valid online, i dont think?
also, in theory you CAN return to store, but in reality I couldnt.
maybe others have had more luck? I think it depends on the store/SA involved
Thanks for this. I bought three pairs of curtain at £40 each online. I made £30 in points. I wanted to take two pairs back to teh store and get a credit or echange for something else as I only need one pair !! I dont want to have to send back else they will remove my points.
I thought I would be able to return to the store saying that they were a gift and then buy something I do need or get vouchers.
DO you think I have any chance ???

I have returned quite a few things to store that were bought online. If you take your delivery note with you that seems to be the only proof they need. Never had a problem yet. They will refund the money onto your bank card and then you can spend it as you please (means you don't necessarily have to spend it in Boots then too:))0 -

Haven't had my points taken off anything I've taken back to store yet. You would have to be very unlucky and get a 'jobsworth' for this to happen however I'd say there's no way of them knowing instore what extra points you receive from an item purchased online as the delivery note makes no mention of points, so if they did take points off would only be the regular points.
The delivery note doesn't have a price on it so you should get a full refund.
Only one way of finding out for sure.............:)0 -
Sounds a bit dodgy. Everybody would be doing it if you could order things on line, get 3 for 2, get a full refund on the two, so effectively paying nothing and then getting to keep the points. Bit of a fine line. There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0
