Hi donotpassgo, I do not understand MBNA's calculations here as usually they would work out what you are due back and then add the interest that was charged on it and then the 8% statutory like Barclays have done. You really need to get dates, aprs and an explanation of how that little bit of interest is actually worked out. Sorry to have not been any more help but they should actually do this anyway so you can check and make further complaints if they are wrong.donotpassgo wrote: »I've had another breakdown from MBNA this one seems low too unfortunately there isnt a note of the APR no mention of 8% interest either.

Thanks Marshallka, I have sent two letters now to two MBNA claims asking how they have calculated the interest and asked for APR, they have listed by dates amounts paid per month about 2 pages worth....Than you for all your help I really do appreciate it.marshallka wrote: »Hi donotpassgo, I do not understand MBNA's calculations here as usually they would work out what you are due back and then add the interest that was charged on it and then the 8% statutory like Barclays have done. Hi Sunnygirls,
Checked with barclays account they have now credited hubbys account thats now clear.:j
I have asked MBNA for aprs and how they calculated interest due on ppi have not had anything back.
Also asked egg to reconsider as they hadnt included 8% stat interest also prior to loan we had an egg cc which was converted to loan, I have asked that they look at this also. Havent heard anything back as yet.
Should I just go the FOS?
Alliance and Leicester have said that they are still looking into our complaint, this was for an original cc with them that was then taken over by MBNA who have since paid out...hopefully this will be a positive result too.
Should be hearing from LLoyds TSB but they seem to be a bit slow...:(
Hope everyone is doing well. x0 -

When you say about FOS is this about the Egg complaint where they have not included the 8% interest OR the MBNA ones where they will not send a breakdown.
I would perhaps ask the FOS advice on these both and see what they say. TBH with the Egg one it would depend on whether you asked for the 8% interest and whether you signed anything as full and final when they redressed.0 -

As regards Egg and MBNA i would contact FOS and ask if they will get involved on these for you (as you have waited for long enough) and then send both firms letters saying you are getting FOS involved. Perhaps it will give them a kick up the !!!.;)0 -

Thanks for your great advice once again, I am about to download complaint forms from FOS and notify MBNA and EGG of my intentions. I think having something to get my teeth into again will buck me up. x0 -
Hi All hope everyone is doing good:A
I have sent complaints to FOS regarding MBNA and Egg shall just have to be patient.
I have what could be a stupid question to ask. Egg loan refunded ppi and contractual interest into my current account, should the loan have been restructured too? (I can talk myself in and out of this)
Sorry being as dense as ................and extremely dense thing:(
