Hi have you recieved it yet ?? I sent my acceptance form back on Sunday and i have just checked my account and the refund is in . I really hope you get it soon Sunny
Hi Sunny, that great that you've got your money in your account I will need to check ours I think they will credit our B/card cc. Thanks for your help:j
  • We have had 3 successful reclaims from MBNA and I asked for calculations to see if we agreed I have the info back for one of these which is:

    PPC refund £1562.23
    Contract interest £34.29

Interest refund seems low to me and no 8% stat interest. Any help appreciated.

  • Last statement didnt show it on hubbys account, it will clear this card:j:j:j Today I got a letter from barclays about my card to say because of credit information about me they were lowering my limit, I recently did a balance transfer and stupidly over christmas was late sending a payment bah one step forward one back. Feel so annoyed at myself was trying to sort out credit, feel like I've been slapped in the face with a huge cold cod..:mad::mad::mad:

Interest does seem low here donotpassgo. Can you actually work out from your statements what APR's were for the redress they are making. They usually would work out each amount they have charged you and add 8% statutory interest from the date you were charged this (or some have asked for their actual interest they were charged) to todays date (this can be done on the bank charges calculator here). I suppose it really depends on what interest you were paying over the period they have redressed you for.

I would write to them and ask them to explain how they have worked out the interest and take it from there.

That is sad donotpassgo. Can you try the "nice" approach perhaps and get them to change their minds?? Were you very late and have they reduced it to less than you owe now?

We claimed for hubby not for me, I really dont want credit but do want a good credit report. I'm trying to clear cards while keeping a good record.Hope to it doesnt happen to you Sunny. I am still within credit limit thankfully.

Thank you Marshallka I will try the nice approach see if they will help with credit report.:o
  • I've had another breakdown from MBNA this one seems low too unfortunately there isnt a note of the APR no mention of 8% interest either.
    PPC £4727.19
    Interest £176.00
I am asking them for info on APR for this also....

    Barclaycards breakdown is much clearer
    PPI £1560.33
    Compound int £667.60
    Interest 8% 326.76

I dont understand MBNA calc at all:rolleyes:
