You may have read on the successes thread that we have be awarded £2550 back from Barclaycard (originally Goldfish) this included interest and 8% interest. We are very pleased with this, they have said they will take it off our credit card balance which once again we are happy about as it reduces our debt, however I just wanted to point this out incase any claimants are hoping for a cheque they may try to take it off your balance. Does this make sense?:rolleyes:

Yes that does make sense. Please be aware though that you can request they send the money straight to you. If it was miss sold then that money is yours to do as you wish with. Anyway congrats on your award.

This was mis sold and we did consider asking for the money but decided against as we really want to get rid of the debt. we

I have only just seen this thread & have had dealings with A&L & MBNA over PPi reclaim & had both agreed.
A&L were excellent in the speed with which they dealt with everything, try phoning them on 0116 201 1000 - they have a dedicated team set up & even though I was nervous about phoning , they were very good ( being fined by the FSA has helped to focus their operation a little ! )
MBNA Have just agreed to my reclaim , this took a little longer, but again I plucked up the courage to phone & was pleasantly surprised how good they were , phone no. 0800 062 062
I have not had any reply from Barclaycard yet & their 40 day time limit is nearly up - I will send them a reminder today.

:T:T Well done to yo:Tu i still havnt had my desion from barclaycard /goldfish appently because ive had card a long time they are having to check arcives ???? But i ve had enough of waiting off to fos but am really pleased you got a good result Well Done Sunny

Just seen your post about misselling and refunds. B Card credited my account despite me requesting a cheque. I have let it go now so long term better off as not paying interest, but are there some links on here that you know of where I can find a good arguement against the others that I am reclaiming against, so that they do refund me directly?

Hi Sunny, There doesnt seem to be any rhyme nor reason to the way the claims are dealt with my husband had had his card for a long time too........we are waiting to hear from egg (and others past 2 months) 2 months deadline just before Christmas yet I've read on the forum claimants receiving refunds within 2 weeks. I hope you get some good news soon too Sunny. Keep in touch.

Hi Putty,
I think best answer is that the insurance was mis sold and that the money you have paid towards this insurance is your money and that you should have it back.........Its your money and up to you how you use it. Hope you are successful.
