greenbee - you put that beautifully - I had soggy eyes when i was reading it and it has taken me all day to answer- thank you:A:A:A I want to be here as long as possible too and do as much as possible in that time - I see your point but I am in a hurry to get things done so i can relax and enjoy my time doing nice things and that includes chatting with you all - its a bit of a catch22!!!
I do pace myself much more but I am afraid you will always be 'shouting' at me for overdoing it - its just the way i am!!

love n hugs to you all for caring so much
    toots xx

I don't mean you shouldn't put these things on the list - it's good to know that you're being so pragmatic about it all, but most of us are very well aware of your situation. We miss you when you go off for treatment, so we know it's going to be tough when you aren't here anymore.

However, as you're busy organising a spectacular send off for yourself, I take it we're all invited :D

    Hi all

    AAAARRRRRGHHHH!!

Sorry about that....really annoyed at the moment as I just tried to book a Tesco delivery slot for w/b 21 December only to find they've all gone... Now I know I should have been quicker, but they weren't up yesterday....

I usually order my shopping online as I find it easier to budget, and it's obviously less stressful to have it delivered, rather than taking little ones into the supermarket.

Right....moan over. Things have been going reasonably well and I've managed some of the following:

Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom and landing
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Strip wash and replace bedding![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Declutter[/STRIKE] and vacuum the floor!
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Sort and stash any presents you have lying about.. clear the floordrobe![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clear a box of stuff away[/STRIKE]
    Binbag dance
    Level Three
Clear away any stuff on the top of cupboards/chest of drawers/dressing tables etc.
Sort the airing cupboard/linen store/towel cupboard.. is there anything past its best? PDSA/animal charities often are desperate for such things!
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb and wipe the paintwork[/STRIKE]

Thursday - Bathroom, Loo & Study
    Level One
    Clear all floors of clutter
    [STRIKE]Dejunk pc desk![/STRIKE] Didn't last long though!
    Level Two
    Wash windows
    Wipe all paintwork
    Vacuum/mop all floors
    Level three
    Clean the bath/shower/loo's/basins etc
[STRIKE]Wipe the cup rings and dust off the desk[/STRIKE]
    Scrub down the tiles

    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Delete 50 unwanted emails[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Defrag the pc and run a virus scan/spyware scan[/STRIKE] Bit of a problem as my machine is almost full  - clearing this off as and when I can.
    3. Binbag dance
    4. Write and post christmas cards!!
And I'm trying desperately to lock the black dog outside. Hate this time of year....

Anyway, that's enough about me...hope everyone is doing OK? Hugs to all who need one.

    Take care
    D

  • Hello my lovelies - internet still down at work so haven't caught up on the thread, so love and hugs all round and coping vibes for those that need them. Also haven't been able to check the websites you lovelies have mentioned so will do that tomorrow.

Thanks again for the help especialy carol who has pm'd me. CAB rang DH back after he asked for phone call on-line, all she could advise was to go down the court route and would cost around £400, not bothered about the money bit.
Our problem like Pigpen and others have said is that if we go all out to get her she then changes her mind! She won't be able to do whatever she wants down here, we will set boundaries and we have stressed that to her so she should be under no illusions.

Off to the pub shortly for a tea time drink - we need it! So will catch up later if I can see!!!

    Love to all xxx

From experience with Ocado lots of slots come available nearer the date with people cancelling orders so keep checking every day, a couple of times and you might get lucky. I just booked a free slot with Sainsbugs for Sunday the 20th and they have given me £15 off a £100 spend - very happy with that, I can pop out and get the fresh stuff closer and they can do all the heavy donkey stuff or I might use Waitrose deliver for that as they will be free delivery - Ocado wanted £9.99 the week before christmas - don't think so:money:

  • oooh still here as waiting for DD2 to pick a top before she goes up to her dad's been up there over half an hour! !!!!!!? Just grab something girl - I WANT/DESERVE a drink.

But my oooohhh was I forgot with all the troubles to tell you that my wonderful DS is HOME! For 10 days!!!!! And the best bit is his commanding officer has changed Ds's shift so that HE IS HOME FOR CHRISTMAS rather than the 28th!!!!! Am sooooo happy, we were having christmas this weekend for him till he came home yesterday and said. Finished his shift wednesday night, drove from Munchengladbach to West Yorkshire on Red Bull, showered and changed at his dad's and was at my work at 9.10 am yesterday to tell me.

He hopefully will talk some sense into DD2 whilst he's here; she sometimes listens to him more than the rest of us. She is volatile at the best of times but being pregnant she is a MONSTER and we are walking round on eggshells. Though she's been lovely since I got in and even hugged and kissed me for no apparant reason - does the heart good for sure xx
