POCKETROCKET wrote: »Good morning everybody, I can see I am going to have to get up earlier if I want to keep up with all you efficient people. There is a child's pit in our house (and believe me it really is a pit!!) but unfortunately the child is 23 and has got a day off work today so is likely to remain in the pit until lunch time at least. He doesn't like me going in his room and I don't really like going in there either. I think I might wake him about 11ish and suggest gently that he does something about it. In the meantime I am going to attack the hallway and stairs (I didn't start this until Wednesday so they haven't been done yet), more work than it sounds!
This is day 3 for me and I'm still motivated. I did very well yesterday but I didn't post last night because I don't know how to get the day's list in my post. I would be most grateful if someone could tell me how to do this. Many thanks. :santa2:
or you can highlight from post 1 the day you want, right click and copy and then paste it to your post - if you copy like this you can go to your previous post (where you have left a list) each day press the quote button and paste in the new day's list and strike out or delete what you have done - hope that makes sense - if not send me a pm and i will explain in more detail.
As for 23 yo child :rotfl: - you need to get him into the way of cleaning his room too - I can understand both of you being reluctant for you to be in there but he needs to keep it up to your standards. how about printing off the list or making one for him so that he knows what he should be doing? Or could you offer to help him (well insist really) when he is doing it - you will have the pleasure of knowing its done right and it will be over and done with quicker for him?

DD was chuffed at school today, she showed off her latest swimmimh cert in assembly this morning, and when we got home she found that Rudy had turned on the Christmas lights and music and was sitting on the kitchen worktop with christmas tree biscuits and stuff to decorate them with.....she is loving all this xx0 -
Triker - if you've got debt to sort out then you definitely need to stop looking at all that kichen !!!!!!
Hopefully I'll finish work soon... It's been a busy day, but productive, and I'm really pleased I've finally had a chance to deal with a client on my own! My team are being really helpful and supportive too, and have checked my written work before it went off.
Catch you all later...0 -
It's difficult not to worry about you when we can see things on your list that remind us you won't always be around to nag us :(so we want you to look after yourself so that you're here for as long as possible. Sorry greenbee and everybody that is very selfish of me not to think about how it would affect others - I will sort my list so you are not reminded - I can do subtle:D
I don't want to be morbid about it, as you're so positive about it yourself, but we need you, and just occasionally we worry that you're going to wear yourself out faster than is absolutely necessary.
I do pace myself much more but I am afraid you will always be 'shouting' at me for overdoing it - its just the way i am!!
love n hugs to you all for caring so much

toottifrootti wrote: »kazm do you know how long it takes to feel the beneifits of the treatment and how many are you getting? I am sure the GF will not be bothered about the house it will be DS's room she is interested in:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: if she is a nice girl then thats all that matters - hope the visit goes well - can you give us some ideas of what DH likes so we can give you suggestions? as for Ds - how old is he - stocking fillers like smellies for the shower (espec since there is a Gf!), CD/DVD/socks/keyring/cover for his phone or MP3 or ipod/sweets/flash storage pen for pc/book/coasters for his room/scarf/mug/playing cards/pen/rucksack/sports bag(handy for sleep overs:rolleyes::rotfl:)travel alarm/tie/shirt/belt/wooden puzzles (you know the kind thatb are a shape made up of small irregular parts and you hav to put it back together)
I think I've read that the benefits take the same as if taking tablets which would mean 4 - 6 weeks but not 100% sure.
DH - just dont have a clue because if he wants something he goes out and gets it. He loves his goldwing and his ipod but gets everything he wants for both. I have ordered the Windows 7 as an upgrade for him as he spends all day on his laptop  and he could do with a pair of jeans.
DS is 17, have ordered a DVD set he wants and there were a couple of things he wanted from past times of which I managed to get 1. His list reads as follows DVD set (ordered), DVD, boxers, grey/silver Trilby, 'past times stuff I showed you', and nice jeans!!! Thats it. I have bought him one of those alarm clocks where the top flies off and you have to find it and put it back on for it to stop, a Tshirt and some Spike Milligan books. I suppose I could buy him a student rail card as his girlfriend lives a train journey away. Think I'll look into that now.

PS I am only passing the time waiting for the kitchen to become clearMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
