Out of interest what has happened to those of you who didn't pay your fine?
Nothing has happened to us, read the stickies at the top of the board:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
You'll see in the top thread, the letters we all got and ignored. Don't even THINK about paying this fake PCN!
You will also see in another top sticky thread by Crabman, 'read this before posting'!! details about the legality of tickets and a link to a youtube recording of Watchdog. Their legal expert shows you exactly what to do with your fake ticket.
Oh, and what's a speculative invoice? It's a company of chancers asking for money that's NOT owed.
e.g. Would you pay me £75 for replying to your question? No? GOOD! That's what a speculative invoice is - a con.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What is one of those?
In plain English , its an invoice requesting payment, the request is not enforceable, which means it can be ignored, the same for other letters from debt collectors alledging a debt, basically they are begging letters.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Thanks. I will check out the stickies. The wife is going to be happy.0

At a meeting of creditors held on 5 January 2011 B & C Associates were appointed as Liquidators of Central Ticketing Limited.
For some months prior to this staff had been provided with paperwork to use in the name of Concept Parking Services.
My partner worked for Central Ticketing for 3 years; he received a telephone call on 22 December advising him he no longer worked there. He received a payslip but no monies were received. His colleagues have been unaffected and have never been notified of any impending redundancies etc.
Anyone with outstanding tickets in the name of Central Ticketing Limited should follow that company's procedure and IGNORE THEM.

Hmm what does that mean for those of us with outstanding Central Ticketing invoices? Is that one down a few more thousand to go?0 -
Absolutely no difference to the normal advice of Ignore them. They've already morphed into their new company which will be around for a while and change into Central Ticketing (2013)ltd.or similar.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

And don't forget the bag of peanuts for the monkey that answers the "appeal" letters.:-
The only other possibility is that they keep a monkey at their office, who has been trained to open letters and, although it cannot actually read them, to immediately press a designated character on a keyboard (perhaps marked with a banana symbol) which then produces a letter of reply.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I posted here on 29/01/2011 about a Parking Charge Notice that i received from Excel , i followed the advice given here and ignored the 2 letters that they sent me about the same parking charge , today i got 2 more letters with different reference numbers about the same incident ( looks like they are trying to charge me twice ) this letter states that they are intending to take me to court .
I have read the advice that most of you have posted on here all i would like to know is .... Am I safe to continue to ignore these letters as most of you have said ?
Many thanks ....0
