It is true that has happend to me. My d d's have sometimes been taken out of my account on a Friday when the date should have been on a Monday when I was paid.
And yes I have tried to contact the bank to waive charges and they have decided to stand to them.0 -

I think you need to accept that not everyone shares your view. There are a few cases where people have been genuinely unfairly charged by their banks. All power to them in fighting back.
Sadly, too many people get themselves in a mess because they can’t go without the latest gadget or designer shoes. I have no sympathy for these people. They are part of the problem with today’s society, not the solution.
im all for peoples opinion but allthatcommensense and hallowed way are trolls and their opinions worth nothing and dont deserve to be on this site if i walked into the bank and said youre !!!! and your all !!!!!! and asses then i would be locked up so why is it okay for them to say it here they should be bannedReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. Argh, this is terrible news for my father. He has accrued bank charges on his business account because the two companies that he deals with the most have not been paying him on time. On Friday one of them went into liquidation owing him thousands. His last hope was at least getting some of these charges back. He has decided this morning that he now has to sell his house he has worked all his life to pay for so he can clear this bad debt. He is due to retire in May so he doesn't have the time to work to pay it off.
I am completely gutted for him.0 -

£100 in bank account
Spend £100 OK
Spend £101 .. NOT OK .. YOU WILL BE CHARGED AS PER AGREEMENT
Whats difficult to understand, are you sure you have a real degree ? - those ones you buy off the internet for £20 do not count
Heres were it hurts £100 in bank account 3x £25 direct debits (Mortgage,Electricity, council tax) £25 for food, So you over spend and your food bill is £26 - last direct debit goes out you only have £24, bank charge you £25 - your now a £1 overdrawn. Your electricity bill is now £50. You now have £99 to pay £100 of bills, you also need money for food. Oh and your bank just sent you a letter saying they have charged you £1 a day (10 day = £1)for being overdrawn and they will apply this on the 23rd of the month....Now your in the bank trap, and it spirals believe me.0 -
