Went to Asda a few hours ago, and bought a vacuum cleaner
It went well, but now I'm in too much pain to do anything on my list, though I did manage to tidy up under the stairs earlier.
I think it will be an early (for me) night today.Purple Penguin Power!

I booked tickets to see Peter Kay last weekend and have just managed to secure a travelodge room for £9.00 so pretty pleased.
Morning all i hope you are rested and hope you have a great day.
Back later after going to work, hospital and back to work again. Just a check up on the wls. Just a routine one (i hope)

Only had chance to read back a few pages:
Lady-L - Please don't feel down, I'm loving Diva's suggestion of customising your chair! ((Hugs)) :A
Hollyh - Woo hoo! Love little cars...did you know that Daewoo are part of Chevrolet? You are going to be driving a Chevvy! :j. My last car was an Amica (similar shape to Matiz) and it was bright yellow. Everyone nicknamed it "the yellow peril"!

Diva the pimped ride made me laugh, especially the boxing glove
My car is a S reg 5 door Citroen, old as the hills, looks like a total rust bucket, BUT it gets me from A to B, allows me to work and it was given to me by my FIL, littley calls it my A to B car cause she's totally embarassed by it when we park anywhere (it's always the worst one in the car park) so when she mentions it I start saying 'it gets me from......' I know from A TO B queue 'rolleyes'

How long are you supposed to be working there for? You need to develop some strategies for coping with the boredom...
Kaz - no point speaking to HR - I'm only the temp!
I think what's making it worse is I'm given a job to do (that'll take say an hour at max, sometimes only 10 minutes) then when I've done it I have to ask for something else to do. I've done as much proactive as I can (tidying up spreadsheets etc. etc.).
The post is supposed to be an indefinite one but I'm not planning to be there much longer after christmas. And things may change because of certain internal post changes that happened this week. I could just walk, but the hours suit me at the moment - it's allowing me to get my book written. I've a self imposed deadline of having the first real draft complete by christmas day
Fedupands, Carlsberggal and everyone else who's poorly or down - hope you feel better soon
Vanilla - big hugs love - what an awful situation! I'd do what Valli suggested
Rach - outsource away! Oh and oodles of positive vibes for DH for this afternoon.
Meeting last night went well. All that posting of leaflets and spraining ankles paid off and we had quite a good turn out. It was far more interesting than the meeting yesterday afternoon!
But, today is another day. I shall do my best to cope with the boredom at work...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning all
Soappie if you want to swap places with a condemned woman...................:rotfl:
LL can I be part of the team pimping your ride?
We have a signum for towing the caravan, it's like the proverbial poo off a spade. DH had a fiat sciento (sp?) the baby one. It was the first and only brand new car we have had as it was cheaper than 2nd hand vauxhalls and fords. We called it the doody car
