Must stop procrastinating and get some stuff done... Can't raise the colleague who wants me to get in touch with him, as he's obviously shut down email & phone contact to concentrate, and said to contact him via IM... but he's logged out of it (and has been for about a week )

I've had a shower and dressed, so the bathroom is now marinating in bath cleaner :D and I have yet more washing in the laundry basket . I have a horrible feeling that if I nip out to the post office & dry cleaner my colleague will call, so I'm not sure what to do...

ETA bins/recycling sorted. Loo marinating... have decided not to drive into town just for dry cleaning, so will pick up on Monday. Off to post office as I need to move my car before the skip arrives anyway. Then I'll prepare for my afternoon calls, and possibly look at some online training while doing the ironing!

Going to take it slowly today.....but will try a little flying :o:p

    Grateful :bdaycake: Happy Birthday xx

LL... I'd not want to look conspicuous.. so I'd just attach an air horn for those ignorant people who will not move!

    MWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHONK!!!!!!!!!!!!

(heehee.. I made the page WIIIIIIIIDE..)

I would then be filled with glee as they leaped from their skin.

Anyway.. NEED to see if the stupid bank will allow me to transfer MY money to my other account at an even stupider bank so I can write a cheque for my windows tomorrow.

    DW loaded
    Composting out
    recycling out
    rubbish out
bag of stuff in a bag for nurserys junk modelling bin.

Oh.. and I threatened to kill someone today.. I walked out of school after dropping off the children.. stopped to look where OH had parked after turning the car around and a traffic warden started having a go at me.. I don't even flipping drive! OH was parked up the street across the road because there was nowhere else.. no illegally parked either I will add.

anyway.. parking outside school might cause me to kill someone.. erm no.. jumped up twits in silly hats having a go at me for absolutely no reason may cause me to kill someone.. it might be a child I kill.. but not until I've killed him.. silly little man..

    And all before 9:30..

I am actually considering putting in a complaint about him.. it isn't MY fault he had noone to give a ticket to and had no bedroom activity for.. forever, most likely with that attitude!

    Morning folks,

What do you all clean your silver with??

I have 'aquired' a box of silver plate items, like tea pot, silver trays, candlesticks, egg cups, crutes, mustard pots, cultery etc, the whole lot is well tarnished, hasn't been cleaned for years, so far I have wiped it all over with a damp cloth, to remove the dust and cob webs etc, what do I do next? (I've never had anything silver or silver plate before and haven't a clue!:o)

It is now in a clean box, the old one is outside, as it is filthy, don't want that in my flylady clean house / on my clean carpets :D

One or two of the items have hallmarks on them, but they are very faint, don't know if this makes a difference to how you clean them.

Tescos has a range of 'stuff' but I don't know what is best...cloth, dip, foam, and wad polish.

Sorry for asking what to some of you is a daft question.....

    Hugs all round xxxx

My gran uses silvo... paint it on.. like calamine lotion.. wait until dry and buff off... not too often though as it does leave a residue which builds up over time.. I'd wash it in soapy water first I think.. to get soot and other mank off so you aren't rubbing it in and scratching the silver.

My silver.. I just keep it on when I get in the shower.. :p

    Gratefulforhelp Happy Birthday!!!
hollyh they are cheap to buy, run & as new had a really good warranty etc so tend to be well looked after. For an A-B they are great. I drive a silly big Landrover, I do like big cars but it's costing me a fortune (like Kaz I need it for the caravan) but I have been looking at a small cheap economical car as a runabout if it's cost effective
JillD good luck but I do wonder what sort of observation she is doing, never known SENCOs to do them as they are just teachers.

Thanks for the good luck wishes, DS1 will be there now. I am having some right bother over school meals again with school but won't go into it, I do need to speak to them again about it.

Need to find my mobile, will go look in the car while I empty the inside bins as it's collection day. Think I will finish the kitchen after that as I'm going in circles a bit at the minute which is not good as I'm not seeing any progress.
One day I might be more organised...........
