2) Can I use my inclusive minutes from an 02/Orange OFF PEAK package (eg 1000 Off Peak mins/month) as long as its done bewteen 7pm-7am/weekends etc?

Yes you can call 07744 but only if it is a cross network offpeak tariff that you are on.If you use it from an offpeak own network and 01/02 tariff you will be charged.

You will be able to use these if they have inclusive cross-network minutes. If you are looking for a new contract then check, as I think there are two tariffs on Orange, one with (£25) and one without (£20). I believe that one of the O2 off-peak packages is landlines and O2 only, and I don't if they have a x-net version as well (you could still use 0844 and 0870 though).

You'll find that various 07744 providers have a more restricted range of destinations evenings, and a bit more at weekends, so it's worth studying the lists.

India and Pakistan mobiles are available 24 hours on weekdays with most firms, but Simply-Fone has really cut right back on European mobiles*, and even some European landlines, as I discovered on a recent Saturday.

So you might also look at Victorconnect and Yourcallworld, but take care not to set too much store by their possibly misleading comments about which networks have inclusive minutes to their numbers.


* others have over 40 European mobiles, but S-F now have only Cyprus x 2, Kosova, Monaco, Russia, Ukraine, and one Finnish network.

The landline destinations are dropping as well, such that they've started listing countries up to 7 times to make the list look longer.

Just a quick thanks to this site for drawing my attention to this 07744 service.I use it regularly to phone quite a few different intl destinations from my Orange Contract and it saves me lots of dosh.

I started a thread naming 10 providers of these numbers, to which someone replied with several false personal allegations, including affiliate spam.

Whilst people will have their favourites, such tactical suppression of other products is simply atrocious, and not in anyone's interests.
