charges for 07744 simply-fone/merged

    so far so good!!!! i got my bill this morning and no charges for 07744 numbers.

    I made a call to 07744974404, yesterday (18th) for 20 mins. Today I checked my inclusive minutes. It didn't show the 20 mins decremented.
    So I think orange started charging for 07744974404.

    My statement date is 15th and call made to this number on 13th (Friday) was shown as inclusive minutes in my online itemised bill.
    May be from this statement month onwards Orange starts for charging these numbers.

    I'd wait another day and check again because their billing system can be 24-36 hours behind, I hope that's what it is.

    I also hope so, but while giving me the remaining minutes, it says the information is latest as on 19th Jan at 10:00. I will check again tomorrow.

    i'm thinking they've started charging for these calls since the 17th-18th coz ive made calls n the updated minutes check on their website shows no minutes deduction for this no.

  • If they have started charging, then they should have put the recorded announcement on again. Otherwise they're storing up a whole lot more trouble for their customer services- just like last time...

    100% Agreed, Coz when they were charging every time when you call 07744 a recorded message "You will be charged at premium rate for this call, if you want to continue hold otherwise hangup" was played.

  • Apologies if I've overlooked something.

    1.) I'm on Orange with 50 x mins going to Vegas next week, does it mean I can call my missus in the UK using the S-F option from the US?

    2.) Also I take it I can call anytime as there isn't any clause on what time you call?

    Appreciate if you can help!
