My understanding is that providers make a loss to India/Pakistan if they run 07744 access at weekends.Thats why none of them are doing it now,not just SF.

I agree that Abroadtel and Bestminutes line quality is not as good as SF.

I only recently got a contract phone which has cross net minutes so am new to this. My questions is can I get any free international calls using my cross net minutes on three?

I relaise that they used to charge for the 07744 numbers but refunded the costs when asked - what is their position now? Which companies offer 07744 services - I would like to call the states for free.

u cannot make free calls from 3 ! if it moves they charge

however for dearer destinations you can use the sf new service 0871 919 1055 which allows lots of countries at 10p from 3

Three charge to make calls using 07744 dial through access numbers.

You can call USA landlines for free using the pre-dial 02 access number
07730 666890.This service only operates M To F after 7pm,and all weekend.Because its a genuine 02 number Three will treat it as a x-net call.

Outside of this times your cheapest bet would probaly be to register for someone like 18185 and use their 020 mobile access number 4p connection and 1p a minute to a USA Landline. 2p a minute to a mobile.

The service is provided by https://www.pre-dial.com Click on free destination list.Then scroll down.As i said it is an o2 number but Three will allow you to call it as x-net call out of your inclusive x-net minutes.

Just used https://www.simplyfone.com/3 from my 3G to India Mobile by dialing: 0871 919 1055 at a cost of 10p.


Is there any cheaper way to call india mobile from 3 than that?

i'm afraid there isn't. 0871 numbers are the cheapest to use on 3 @ 10p/min.

15p a minute if your not in 3 video catchment area,and your calls go via o2.This happened to me.
