Does Vodafones stop the clock gimmick come into play on this one ?

If Vodafone treat calls to 07744 numbers as cross network it would come into play.

Has Btmobile ever allowed the simplyfone( 07744 97 4404 ) number to be included in the inclusive minute package? I asked a few weeks ago in this thread and was encouraged to make a test call. So I phoned overseas using the above number and have just recieved my monthly bill which shows that I was charged 30p/min for the call. I had also emailed their support who claimed that as long as the number was uk based then it would be included within my inclusive minutes. Not too trusting of their customer services I emailed them again about it and this time they stated that that particular number would NOT be included. This has proven to be the case as I have discovered from my phone bill. The thing is that I am sure that some people were claiming that Btmobile was ok with simplyfone's number and simplyfome themselves don't list Btmobile as a network which charges. So can any Btmobile user confirm if they have used 07744 97 4404 without being charged for it and if so how long ago?

i thought it depended if BT mobile 'piggybacked' their service on O2 or T-Mobile

    02 were ok & t-mob charged!

really depende on the 'trial&error' of the user not simplefone...

i got a email from them - following an email query - a while ago whi [i thought rather fairly stated]:

We always advise our customers to check with their mobile network operator before making calls on our access numbers. simplyfone provides the service which is available from all mobile networks, however the charging policy for these calls is a matter for the network operator, the service provider and the caller. The network operators have the discretion to set the policy for charging for any calls and these policies vary by network operator, service provider and sometimes by tariff plan. In addition the network operators vary their charging policies from time to time. It is neither possible nor appropriate for simplyfone to advise callers on the charging policy of the mobile operators.

I think some in between are on Vodafone.
  • Just been on the simply-fone website and they are claiming that its ok to use Orange, the use of X network mins is allowed.
If I get a new mobile contract with Orange based on this can I hold them to it ?

No because Orange might start charging again as they did before. This would be out of SF control.
