I'm in (aiming to only spend £20 a week on fresh stuff in the grocery challenge) :
    Freezer
    Meatballs x 2 packs
<<snipped for space>> (habits acquired on other fora... :o )

I think that's up to date

    Hi Nicki

Can I just ask how many you are feeding each day on average? I feed a family of two adults, two children most days, but (depending on shifts) it can be one adult two kids.

I could make quite a few of my staple meals from your ingredients, but they won't be much use to you if you're feeding more folks than I am. But if you're just feeding a couple of adults, you might make my recipes go even further..!

There's just me and my 7-year-old daughter (with the very occasional extra mouth to feed, and only usually at lunchtime). I'm still learning how to cook for just 2 as I've always cooked for 3 (my ex had a massive appetite and easily ate double portions of everything except pasta, then DD came along and it went up to cooking for 4 when she was weaned), hence the weighing out of the veg :o

I think it's spuds, carrots, toms, eggs & milk today for me spend wise....there's a pork joint in the freezer that'll do for dinner tomorrow.

I really do need to list what I've got in my cupboards & do a bit of stock rotation, but that will mean cleaning the entire cupboard cuz you can't just do a bit can you:p ....

Right I am going to embarrass myself here as I have wayyyy to much stuff in my house, its surely a crime against old style. I am going to list it, it will probably take the rest of the day and for the whole of the month I am only going to buy ESSENTIALS not stock up on stuff just because its on offer.

There I have said it - I will do it.

    Oh and hi nicki :hello:

Planned meals (Subject to change) :
    Breakfast : cereal/muesli & milk or orange juice/tea
Lunch : cheese spread sandwiches & fruit
Tea : HM pizza with peppers, tuna (left over from todays lunch), thinly sliced tomatoes (and whatever I else I can find) with salad, followed by another helping of banana angel delight & fruit :D

    Okay, slight deviation :
Breakfast : cereal & toast for DD, Toast & coffee for me
Lunch : hula hoops (packed lunch stock), raisins (packed lunch stock) and a Cheese Savory sandwich from Greggs between us (£1) - we were out and about and I forgot to make sandwiches before we left but grabbed the other stuff along with a bottle of water filled up at home
Tea : HM pizza (sliced bread, tom puree, salad cheese, tuna, cheese), garlic bread (HM bread sliced), banana angel delight, yoghurt (with mixed fruit, and a banana for me)

Not too bad. Need to think of something for tea tomorrow which will use up the tomato puree though as I had to defrost all of it :o

Ok I just tried to list the cupboards and the text was too long 28500 characters and the max was 25000, and I still have the Freezer, Fridge freezer, and small Freezer to list plus the cereal cupboard

Will try individual cupboards - listed later

OK was going to list the rest but its boring and i think I've shocked myself into realising I have enough stuff to open a shop.

Thank you all for just having this thread

Don't worry I'm the same! The good news of course is that the food doesn't go off in there :)
I was quite embarressed about the sheer amount in my little 2 1/2 drawer freezer under the fridge...

I am getting through my food, :) have to admit it is quite satisfying to see things get used up...but then I ran out of a few things because I had been cooking so much, :)

Had to buy more flour, eggs, and almost need some butter too. Have been using oil in cooking when I think I can get away with it (because it works out heaps cheaper for me and no sat fat as well, so I wont complain) and so might be able to hang out on the butter :P for a little while longer.

Even forced myself to eat some of the chicken soup I wasnt sure I would like and it went down okay with HM bread. Lucky because there are 8 more hearty serves frozen in the freezer!!
