We had pork rashers from out of the freezer, packet of stuffing from the larder & frozen veg in our roast yesterday. HM yorkies from eggs & flour, gravy powder & the tail end of a blob of lard for the roasties...feels a bit breezy in here today:D

Lamb shank in balsamic vinegar and mash for me last night was very very scrummy:j Off out for lunch today so wont need a freezer surprise tonight then im away for a couple of days so the inroads into the ice packs will be on hold May keep the momentum going with a few pieces of lemon for my drinks:beer:

Problem is M+S are doing the dine for £10 again this weekend so its probable that more will go back in than come out:o ah well nobody said this would be easy :D

MrsTine - my freezer clearout is going slower than I would like. We seem to be overloaded with home grown soft fruit in various states and and stock for soups, which are mostly used up in cold weather, don't have great amounts of meat or fish which can be used as the basis for main meals, apart from the odd Spag Bol & chile con carne mixtures. I'm desperate to free up space for climbing beans, tomato passata/ purree & blackberries which will be cropping soon, so we have a golden rule now that something has to be eaten from the freezer every day.

Hmmm Have a crumble each day :) They're SO easy!

Having a soup once a week will soon help you reduce the stock - just boil some veg or use some left over veg and blitz with a blender and serve with crusty bread :) Great even in this weather :)

You have nearly persuaded me to do the same; I dread to think what is at the bottom of my chest freezer. I tend to get out whatever is at the top.

Spinach - either a pasta disch such as spinach and ricotta canneloni/lasagne (I had athread on this in April!) or spinach adn potato curry. Both lovely.

Well there is plenty of spinach to go round so I'm sure there will be enough for several meals :rotfl:

Go on - you know you want to dig down the bottom of your freezer... go on.......
