Hello,
I'll join you with this challenge. Needs must, as my bank account has just dipped into negative territory
Freezer and pantry are full, but currently having to follow special diet, so a lot of the food I cannot eat, but hubby can have it.
I need to menu plan, and manage with small top ups for fresh during the rest of the month using the money I have in my purse.

An ideas for what to do with coconut chips and cacao nibs? Obviously bought with good intentions but have been languishing in cupboard!
I make a low carb breakfast 'cereal' with coconut chips and seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, chia, hemp, flax, sesame, poppy, whatever else comes to hand) plus a few nuts, a blob of coconut oil and cinnamon/dried ginger. Gently toast in the oven.
Not sure about the nibs as I don't like chocolate so have never felt like using themI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Day 10 today and no shopping bought, but have a few things on my list that will need to be bought at some point this week, nothing major thank goodness just odds and ends I have run short of. Hopefully under a tenner this week.next week I am off to Scotland for a few days for a family reunion so I am still eating out of the freezer at the moment
Tonights meal though is some left overs from last nights dinner at DDs there was not enough to go round her tribe so she boxed it up and tonight I shall dine on three slices of roast beef some roast potato's and carrots and broccoli, I only have to make some gravy and zap the rest in the microwave, instant dinner:):)

Hi everyone, I would like to join in on this challenge as I am sure I have enough food in the house to feed my small army for a good couple of weeks or so. I plan to do a proper inventory over the next couple of days followed by a meal plan. I have 3 smalls so will be buying in fresh fruit and milk but hope to make the majority of meals out of what I have here. Wish me luck.I am 56 years old with 3 cats and a beautiful view of the beach0

I am sooo glad this thread has been brought back. It's something I've been trying to faithfully do for months now (thanks Jackie!) it will be wonderful to share this process with others.
I just cleaned and reorganized my store shelves, cabinets. I wasn't too surprised by what I found.
I need to do my freezers but, well I don't really want to. Maybe in a month or so.
I'm off to put on a SC full of beans to soak overnight. There are so many things that can be done with any kind of cooked bean.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Just wanted to stop in quickly and say hi!
My stock cupboard has reached epic proportions - which I realised last week when I couldn't fit the tins I'd just bought on special offer in it!
I'm going to do a stock take this weekend, and then focus this month on making a significant dent in it.Because it's fun to have money!
