have some ginger nuts for the base but am not sure what else you might need apart from double cream which i don't have but could acquire if all else fails
Hi,
White chocolate cheesecake - melt some white chocolate, add some vanilla essence if you have it. Philly mixed with some double cream, whisk till fairly stiff then add the melted choc. On your biscuit base and chill for a bit.
Fruit cheesecake - make up some double strength jelly (lemon and lime is good), add caster sugar, some zest and juice if you have it. Whisk cream and philly till fairly stiff, stir in jelly, onto base, few hours in the fridge till it sets.
Baileys? Mix cream with your philly and whip for the right texture, then add a generous helping of Baileys.
I went to Lidl and increased storesNothing for the freezer though - juice, fruit and veg msotly.

Oh some nice sounding ideas there thanks. Cooking for 2 and have pretty much every herb and spice going!! lolmisscousinitt wrote: »How many are you cooking for? Have you got herbs/spices etc...
Meat Ideas:
Cut the pork chops into strips and stir fry with teriyaki sauce with mushrooms & carrots and serve with brown rice.
Split your 4 loin pork chops in to 2 - make a spanish/mexican sauce with frozen mixed peppers, onions and enchilada sauce and serve with either cous cous or brown rice.
The other two, you could make a mushroom/cream cheese/onion/dijon mustard sauce?
Veg Ideas:
Carrot and Swede Soup (use some celery and onions in the base) cook in some stock from a cube and whizz until smooth.
Make a veggie stew using your frozen casserole veg, tinned lentils and baby pots - if you have herbs and spices, use these to flavour it up.
Rissotto with mushrooms, onions, peas and sweecorn.
Roast some carrots, peppers & onions and add to cous cous made with stock from a cube and some butter added for flavour and maybe a few chopped jalapenos for heat.
Pasta sauce with cream cheese and mushrooms.
Hope this helps.

Recovered somewhat from the lethargy of yesterday
and cooked three portions of beef and link stew for freezer, managed to get out of three large chicken breasts - two portions of chilli chicken, two portions of stir fry (for tonight's tea) and a chicken pie for both of us for tomorrow, so pretty pleased :T
Have taken puff pastry out of freezer for chicken pie, also portions of bread & butter pudding and plum crumble.
Was feeling pretty grotty this morning, bit choked up and a sore throat but speaking to other colleagues who also had swine flu jab last week, think that's the cause as they were having similar symptoms.0 -

I had a HM ready meal, a veggie bake thingy from the freezer tonight.
I am working lates this week, so its a good week for me to use up HM ready meals from the freezer.

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all munching your way though your stores. I haven't had a chance to catch up on this thread yet but wanted to report in.:p
I had carried forward €1.62 to add to this weeks fiver. And I blew almost all of it - have 4c left till the weekend!
I got: 2kg spuds, 250g mushrooms, 1kg onions, 4 heads garlic, 6 organic fair trade bananas, raisins, some Tesco Value snacky things and custard creams.
I've used up a few bits and pieces like tinned beans, the last of the bread, the end of one pack of cheese, tinned spaghetti and bits like that. Had egg, beans and frozen chips for an easy dinner on Sat, ate out on Sunday and had a Chinese tonight out of my separate Treats budget - I was cold and tired and I sort of caved in. Naughty Nuala
I've got mince out of the freezer to do a batch of savoury mince tomorrow and no doubt some of that will end up back in the freezer! There is a little bit of room but not much! Lunch will be soup - might use up one of the tins if I'm too lazy to make a batch of HM. Later in the week I'll do some tuna/mushroom/pasta bake thing.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I have a pork fillet & apple juice defrosting in my fridge ready to go in the slowcooker either tomorrow lunch time (I've taken to coming home for lunch - stops me snacking on the chips & chocolate that gets left on the staffroom table
) or even Wednesday - all depends on how well it defrosts in this fridge. I couldn't use my old one to defrost stuff as it was too cold :rotfl::rotfl:
Today we had boiled rice with curry sauce (from a packet - remains have gone in the fridge & I might have that tomorrow for lunch) followed by chocolate cake & custard. Originally I was going to do sausage, mash & peas/carrots but DD had that for lunch in school
If the pork can't be cooked tomorrow I'll have to get inventive but without using noodles as we had them yesterday - DD has Brownies on a Tuesday night and will have to leave here about 5.45 as she has a strained thigh/groin muscle so is walking slower than ususal.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I made a fish pie with pollack and salmon from the freezer for tonight's tea. The HG potatoes are nearly all used up  so I'll need to buy a sack of them next time I'm passing the farm shop
HM bolognaise out of the freezer for tomorrow's tea, and leftover lasagne for my lunch at work today :T
