  • I've just taken some HM sausages from the freezer to make into casserole for tomorrow, after the bonfire party :j

I've had to put in my little rucksac - I managed to pick up some chewing gum, which I discovered after unpacking from the weekend :mad::mad:

But there is still 4 tins in the cupboard

Oh... and now I have a couple of chilli portions that I have to try and get into the freezer.....

DD has asked for cheesy beans on toast with sausage, so that will use up the two stray sausages I found in the freezer and the remains of some grated cheese from the fridge :D

Tomorrow we're going to a fireworks display (IMHO, instead of buying fireworks you might as well just set light to £30 or so in cash as thats effectively what you're doing ;) ) which is free:money:, but means leaving here about 6-6.30pm to walk to the park in time for the display starting at 7.30pm (we like to get at the front :p) and then not getting home until about 8.30pm so we'll get our weekly chippy tea then. I can phone the order through if the weather is really bad and pick it up on the way past :rotfl::rotfl: Just looked at the weather for tomorrow and its raining all day  The field where the display is will be like a bog!!!:eek::eek:

Another portion of soup for lunch tomorrow and then I think I'll finish of the ropey salmon fillets with some veg for tea then Fri take out a portion of 'it's either cottage pie or chilli' surprise and eat with either rice or mash.

Sat - take out chicken thighs and have a go at the quesidilo things then look at what is left for next week. Check what dried beans I have and see if I can use any of them for this meal too

Off the top of my head

Chickpea curry x2 - eat up with the 2 nan breads in the freezer too
    Fish fingers
    Few frozen chips
    Green beans/peas
    Sausages

Easy get another week out of the freezer

Plus can have jacket potatos and tinned spaghetti for 1 or 2 nights, also plenty of tinned tomatoes to make up pasta sauce bases. Oh yes use cheese for macaroni cheese too and make some dents in the pasta

Just thinking out loud and making a note on here to refer to and remind myself to do it!

    Out of freezer today:-

Portion of HM steak & kidney (for OH)
Portion of puff pastry to go with above
Cooked chicken leg for me (may add to some tagliatelle)

    In to freezer today :o:-

2 portions of HM tomato sauce (+ 1 in the fridge, fancy enchilladas tomorrow)
2 large bags of prepared leeks bought yesterday in Lidl

Hoping for a quieter day at work today so I can update my inventories and meal plan/grocery list but the way it has been this week I may have to do those in my own time :rotfl:

yesterday I used up a small amount of frozen veg to put in my quorn cottage pies which then went back into the freezer apart from 2 which we ate.
Today we're having 2 portions of frozen butternut squash and red pepper soup from the freezer for lunch.
