Does CPD mean credit policy decline? Why do they give you those markers?

yeah - I believe the official line is "administrative error", just a shame I didn't get it cleared up years ago.
  • i applied for an aqua card and it did not decline straight away but said will let me know in 10 days is this the norm? i have not applied for anything in the last nine months or so but still have defaults on my file.

Yeah CPD = credit policy decline.
Ive recently had the markers removed from my account they where on it in the first place due to a lloyds account i had years ago going OD ( cleared then closed account ).

The guy in the collections dept said " Hmm that shouldn't have happened or effected your account with us now ", Its been on my current account since i opened it in late 2007.

Bit of luck i should be getting offers from lloyds soon lol.

How did you have them removed? Did you have to go in branch or did they do it over the phone? Did you have to bring a copy of your credit file showing no nasties?

Hi izools, Firstly i contacted them by phone asking about a CC and was told my account was with collections, I queried this and got the ball rolling.

Secondly the call center agent ( He was excellent btw very professional ) i spoke too put me into contact with the collections dept who then needed to contact the procedures help desk to actually get the markers removed and find out why i was with collections in the first place.

No need to provide a copy of my credit file but lloyds do put the CPD markers on accounts when they are newly opened by people who have had adverse info on their own credit files.
After 6-12 Mths this is/can be removed.

I didn't need to go into a branch to do this but i don't see why any adviser in branch cant do the same.

Just called them re: my CPD marker, was told I need to go into branch with my credit file.

Just reeling off my Equifax file now - no adverse on that one. Hope they don't ask to see my Experian report :p

I'm also bringing in a letter from Natwest in response to an online application for a Current Plus account saying I've been approved and to sign an return (I never did 'cos I know the AVU would turn me down but I'll use it as a bargaining chip anyway)

    Wish me luck!

EDIT: My printer is sounding ever so sick... I don't think it likes printing all 30 pages of my file!
