... Mobile phone networks are weird!
Three and Orange both use Experian, right?
Well, Orange turned me down without leaving a footprint and Three accepted me without leaving a footprint... Neither of them have searched Equifax nor Experian.
Well, whatever. I got a better phone without wasting a search. £16 PCM for a Sony Ericsson W995, £80 cashback, 300 Mins / Text, Unlimited web.
Not bad, eh?Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Well looks like things are looking up default comes off July 2010. Have had clean credit apart from this no missed late payments nothing but green 0's on everything. And it works people I have had an offer from LTSB CC balance transfers 0% 12 months 2.9% transfer fee phoned them up to transfer balance. And thought things must be looking up phoned Cap One which is sitting doing nothing....£500 limit 34.9% interest said I was leaving and told to look website at their good offers and apply so I did I applied for there Worldmastercard with 19.9% and 1% cashback and got accepted straight off......£5,000 limit. Which I won't useas I want to move into mainstream 0% deals and thought while on a homerun, i'd try elsewhere and got accepted for the yorkshirebank gold )% balance transfer for 16 months and 16.9% apr just waiting for limit.
Also been into Nationwide today where I have a cash account basic account to be asked would I like to upgrade to there current acount with overdraft and debit card.
So what I am trying to say is stick with it credit can improve. So bye bye 43% vanquis......and 34% Cap One. Even 19.9% seems high now how a year changes you perspective. I am so going to be a taking advantage of all I have learnt from this site and sub prime threads I will always consider myself a sub primer.........even as I tart about my 0% cards.
Just phoned up capital one you defiantly have to close the account down b4 doing an application for another cap 1 account..0 -
woohoo, after a minor (but actually not too bad) battle with Lloyds I've had what I believe to have been an incorrect CPD marker removed from my account. Then same week got a super-approval on a LTSB platinum card, funny that....
The silly associated questions - 1/ presumably this is definitely a prime card, 2/ is it any better from a lenders perspective than any other (e.g. do we think they rate cards differently or just count the zero's?), and 3/ should I bother to keep hold of the Vanquis I only got as I couldn't get anything better with no other history (about 4 months ago)0 -

Well according to the woman I spoke to on the phone last night she said look at the website see if I wanted to apply.....apply but before they would activate the account (if accepted - which I was) I would have to deactivate the accout I hold now....which I will do when they have cleared the funds for the payment I have made to clear the account.0 -

If i was you mate,i would phone them up and ask again, think your information you have been given is completely wrong,i've just been on the phone to a very nice lady from capital one explaining what you said and she said, you have to defiantly got to close the capital one card down first b4 you apply for another 1..0 -

Does CPD mean credit policy decline? Why do they give you those markers?0
