    Well done, when hubby and I got our statements this month his was increaded form £2000 to £2700 without asking. I rnag to ask about mine and was declined after credit search, oh well will just have to do with the £2000 I have lol

    That's a pity - what is your credit history like? How long has hubby had his card? I have a £1,000 limit on my Silver card and they say I can apply for an increase after July 11th, which might be nice as I want to do a CompTIA A+ to enable career progression where I work;

    Don't want to apply for the increase wasting a search if they'll say no, tho :o

    That's experian, not Equifax.

    If you purchase a score from Equifax you get one of these but that's it:

    Equifax charge £5.95 for the score if you have a monthly subscription with them - and you get half that back by ordering it via Quidco ;)

    I don't trust the Call Credit or Experian scores but IME the Equfax score has always been reliable and much more to go on than the others'

    cool just did mine, couldnt resist - i do their monthly subscription thing lol.... it says my searches are through the roof!

    i have had a few credit blips... such as an arrangement to pay (didnt realise the effeect it had on your credit until joining here, i thought they were doing me a favour whilst i was out of work for a few months) that ended early last year that was re-instated to normal standing.

    Plus 1 late payment with vanquis from August last year (it wasnt late as such but is still reported as a late payment i stupidly input the wrong amount on inet banking and instead of paying £18.30 i paid £13.80 gggrrr. lesson learnt!).

    i was hoping to try and get a lower interest card to move my cap 1 progress over to if needed whilst orange have temporarily deleted some customers data whilst they re-jig the systems I have 2 late payments in last 18 months from orange due to work not paying my phone bill direct to them on time (another lesson learnt), goodness knows where i would apply tho, i think i have caught the apply bug that floats around this thread on a daily basis!. :)

    Sounds like you're on the right tracks, good luck holding off the apply button!

    I do like the Equifax score, it lays out in very straightforward terms exactly what aspects of your file are affecting your score, to what extent, etc. Things that the Experian score doesn't do and whilst the number they generate may be a bit abstract, the advice isn't.

    How did you score come out if you don't mind my asking? Mine was 386 (thanks to the searches)

    mine was 372 - thanks to searches and (i expect) the ap...

    How on earth have i managed all those searches??? looking 3 are due to drop off the 6 months next week and 3 in July...

    You have had 12 search(es) for credit in the last six months. Credit grantors view more than one or two searches within six months unfavourably. Please review the section of your credit report entitled . For more information about credit searches and what you can do about them,
    Searches at your current address: 8
    Searches at your previous address(es): 4
    Strangely it says i have no settled accounts - yet 3 are showing as settled? how strange. They are from my last house tho so that maybe why
