BTW fairmon, can you copy and paste the email you got because it appears that this is not a system generated email. The email I got compared to NID varied and was sent by a different person. I wonder if your application is assigned to an individual? Also I wonder if the data in your credit report determines what level underwriter/account opener has to access it?

I applied for a job with Sainsbury's in Coventry and I was accepted but as I was unable to provide an employer reference (it was 6 years since I last had a job) they terminated my application.

I had a basic interview with the manager after completing a form and then all the candidates had to watch a DVD and answer questions on things that should and shouldn't be done in store. Quite basic and simple really.

did you ever use it? If not that would be why you're still at the starter limit, if you use it the limit gets higher...

Mine is around £2000 now - like i'd ever use it, but hey! :rotfl:
Used it once, couldn't find anything else I wanted, and even with the regular sale and other junk they sent me things were still more expensive than I'd get elsewhere (or if I couldn't find them elsewhere, more than I'd be prepared to pay, credit or no credit!).

Found them to be the most unhelpful bunch of clowns ever anyway (well, Natwest could give them a run for their money, still got 2 broken debit cards from them they won't replace!) so kinda glad it's closed now. Was nice being accepted for it, I guess it won't make any long term difference to my report though, but it's my first settled account.

OOOOOOH I really want the England Vanquis card! But I can't have it, Vanquis are the ones that force you to give a landline and must be able to talk to you to open the account :( Might phone up and complain, see if I can apply over the phone and they can verify I'm a human that way and accept a mobile number... can't see why they need a landline - they do enough other anti-fraud checks so it's pretty pathetic, and if the landline is not registered in your name (it doesn't have to be) then it achieves nothing - why do some companies have to be so awkward!?

Homephone could be used to verify address seeing as homephones are unique to each address.
