Cheers Niddy
Problem 1: How many exactly?
3 - ranging from june 2007 - jan 2009. Work *should* have paid my mobile bill directly had issues when the agreement was initially set up so ended up just paying and claiming back. On experian as it only shows last 12 months as colour coded it has all green 0's and underneath it states 3 1's in last 36 months
Problem 2: What does the CRA show under this, as things stand now?
Shows it as a normal account, no AP marker on there, when it was AP it was reported as AP in the payment history, Now it shows as green 0's

How long for? I am sure i had read (maybe by you , but could be mistaken) that some cc co's only check back 12 months if there is no adverse on there and only go back further if anything flags up?
As i say i have no NEED for one, but would like an indication as to when i may be accpeted for one.
I tend to pay in full most months but i know that come September I will need to rely on some element of credit for a few weeks (current contract ends in August, and is being renewed 1st October so I will have 8-10 weeks without pay - whilst i am making provision for this now it would be good to know that if i needed it i wouldnt be stuck paying the rates i am at the moment , even if it is only for the short period of time until my student loan gets paid mid September)0 -

They do only go back so far but you have 3 late payments, this is more than 2 so this will force them to go back and do a full 3yr search. Tesco is your best bet for a clean search, they usually go back 12 months and request 2yrs addresses - may have changed but was like this at Xmas time....
Its hard to say when or whom will accept you, do you have a full bank account? If so try them, first and foremost.2010 - year of the troll

Yea, we all get the same email mate!!! I had it last week and got declined 2 days later - the email means nothing! The forms come in the post THEN upon receipt by FD, they underwrite and score you.

Thanks, my longest bank account is halifax, but i changed over recently to natwest student account - as my wages and student loan now go to natwest and i have limited history with them i doubt they would give me one, dunno re halifax as i use it as a billing account i just move the £s over to cover all my dd's.0 -

Try Halifax first, they are your best bet as you have history with them. Don't go for the best card, go for the student one if you're a student..... however bear in mind you can appeal to central underwriting if unsuccessful so try them, log in via online banking and give it a bash!2010 - year of the troll
