    Thanks NID

When I first used my Aqua card, they asked some security questions. I used to have an AA direct debit from my Easycash a/c. Aqua accessed this data, and one of the security quesitons they asked was what direct debits do I have on my Easycash a/c. That got me a bit worried!

Maybe then Aqua is just a front for HBOS and a trading name, in which case (if they can access your easycash account) they must be linked so scratch my last comment

Thanks for enlightening me - news to me but very plausible so thanks :D

LOL - you are making hard work of this and my brain!

Right, when you just applied did it ask for current bank details and you gave your easycash details? If so, log into internet banking for the easycash account and the new account should be linked and be on your 'my accounts' page!

Ok, logged in, its not there, so I called them, they said it aint been accepted or declined yet.....

You are correct NID - IIRC - Aqua is a trading name for SAV credit, who are a subsidary of HBOS - or words to that effect.
No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Cheers mate - that makes sense, so in essence they can access all HBOS systems cos in effect it is HBOS employees using the systems (i.e. SAV credit do not have staff as they work for Halifax or whatever!)....

Makes sense to me - cheers :D:D

Glad this has been brought up, because on my hubbie's credit files, Aqua is down as 'Halifax Card Services' When he applied the other week for an Halifax Reward a/c he said it asked if he had any of their products:rolleyes:
But he put no, as he thought it was SAV credit? So it is Halifax naughty blighters!

This would not go against him though, easy mistake and they will understand and not decline because of that reason. Having an Aqua card doesn't stop you applying for a mainstream HBOS card.... :D

He got the Reward a/c with Halifax and they even checked me out as his associate:eek: So my files must be looking a bit healthier!

Ahh so you've been linked financially then, you must have a joint account somewhere - your file is better isn't it? I thought you were getting accepted for 1st Direct and stuff which is like amazing :D:D
