When you apply with Halifax for the first time you are registered for online banking and they will send you out a username and temporary password in a few days. When you log in for the first time you will be asked to change your password and set up a few security questions.0

will they link it to my Easycash account?0

Hi NID!
Just had a nose of this friend and thought of a friend of mine. Her credit rating was destroyed years ago, thanks to an ex running up debts in her name.
She's since cleared them (God, it must be well over 6 years ago now) but, when she has tried to obtain a CC, they have requested that she give them 200 or 300 GBP first. To act as a deposit, I guess.
Anyway, she didn't bother. But, I'm just wondering, was she applying for the wrong type of credit card?
I know her and her (new)OH would love to get a mortgage at some point in the next 2-3 years, and so it would be great if I could point her in the right direction for building up her credit again.
Am I right in thinking that is what sub prime credit can be used for?February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Mate you never pay a deposit for a CC - is this a UK or Dutch bank? I am commenting on UK banks only.... which lender, if you dont mind saying?
But suffice to say, you should suggest sub prime cards like barclaycard, aqua, vanquis etc...2010 - year of the troll

LOL - you are making hard work of this and my brain!
Right, when you just applied did it ask for current bank details and you gave your easycash details? If so, log into internet banking for the easycash account and the new account should be linked and be on your 'my accounts' page!2010 - year of the troll
