Right, when you just applied did it ask for current bank details and you gave your easycash details? If so, log into internet banking for the easycash account and the new account should be linked and be on your 'my accounts' page!
haha, yes, I didnt log in, just went through the standard process and it asked for my account details, which I obviously entered.
However, I do not know my log in details lol, oops :mad:0 -
never-in-doubt wrote: »Mate you never pay a deposit for a CC - is this a UK or Dutch bank? I am commenting on UK banks only.... which lender, if you dont mind saying?
But suffice to say, you should suggest sub prime cards like barclaycard, aqua, vanquis etc...
It's a UK bank. I don't know the name I'm afraid.
Not sure that they would call it a deposit as such, but that was essentially what it was for. It went along the lines of: yes, we'll give you a CC with a 200 limit, but you have to give us 200 first.
Anyway, I'll point her in the direction of the sub prime cards and remind her that she needs to pay them off in full each month, so no shopping sprees! lol
Thank you.

Hope your friend gets it sorted, what happened with the debts and trying to sort it all out etc must be a really horrible situation to be in0 -
I had to give Cap1 £200 deposit a few years back for a £200 credit limit card. Went upto £500 after a few months, closed the account then applied 6 months later and needed no deposit. Suppose its ok to start you off on a credit card at first as at the time no one would touch me with a barge pole lol0

LOL at capital one by the way - you nutter! Not likely they would agree is it haha
I've had an Easycash a/c since Dec 07 and I was approved in May this year for Aqua. But maybe that's because I didn't have any defaults on my Experian file at the time (they only searched Experian). I did disclose my previous defaults though.
But having both a/c's (Easycash and Aqua) is worrying though, because Aqua may decide one day to reduce my limit and set-off money from my Easycash a/c. I was thinking of using my other bank a/c's, such as the Lloyds one, but because Lloyds bought out Halifax I don't know if even that's a good idea anymore.0 -

They will not be able to utilise RoSo as Aqua and HBOS are separate entities (although the same group). They could do it if for instance you had a HBOS credit card but not an Aqua card. Also, forgetting that, they would not reduce your limit that bad and then demand repayment. They only reduce the limit to within the current balance (ie. limit £2000, balance £800 = new limit £850).....
Lloyds and HBOS are also separate entities at the present time.2010 - year of the troll

Thanks NID
When I first used my Aqua card, they asked some security questions. I used to have an AA direct debit from my Easycash a/c. Aqua accessed this data, and one of the security quesitons they asked was what direct debits do I have on my Easycash a/c. That got me a bit worried!0 -
Scratch my post the other day about M&S online not taking the new natwest visa debits (full auth). My card had been blocked as they wanted to confirm some transactions with me
A subsequent transaction with M&S went through fine0
